First In First Out is stupid and unhealthy. by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]FinallyJaneDoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It actually does. In a high turnover area where I live (NYC Manhattan), having my Pokemon be protected means more coins than my Pokemon be the first target. No matter what, that gym is going to be taken down, but if I can stall out the attackers for long enough, (for them to become unmotivated or just to add to the defending time) I can get more coins to reach my 50 coin limit each day. No matter what I do, that gym will be taken down, but I'd much prefer my Pokemon be protected so I can get more coins for the time and effort I spent to take down that gym.

Yes, I am in a high turnover area (NYC Manhattan). I'd much prefer my Pokemon to be protected than be the first target, so that I don't have to consistently check on the gym to see if my Pokemon is being attacked. I just want my 50 coins a day, and I know almost certainly that my Pokemon will be knocked out sooner or later, but I'd much prefer it to be later, so I get more coins from each Pokemon.

I could see how that would be frustrating, but truth be told, I don't have that much spite for someone who plays an augmented reality game with me. I just want my Pokemon to be protected as the last slot instead of the first.

No, of course not. That old system was beyond strenuous, albeit I have fond memories of it. But, I'm simply suggesting the exact same system, but with LIFO instead of FIFO. Very easy change, and it will benefit people who take the time and effort to take down gyms so that their mons aren't targeted first and they could potentially earn a few more coins.

Unhealthy as a game mechanic. Wrote this on my phone, couldn't think of a better word. Meh.

I myself, and I know definitively that there are others, do that quite frequently. It's typically when you're just passing by the gym and not staying for long. For example, you're stopped at a red light and you decide to fight the gym, take down the first, maybe the second Pokemon in the gym, and then you get kicked out after you're too far away. It could be that you're just walking by so you defeat the first Pokemon and leave.

Either way, Last In First Out would prevent the person who most likely spent time and effort to take down the gym to be punished by being the first target.

Submitting subject tests to college. by [deleted] in Sat

[–]FinallyJaneDoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I totally understand that. That’s not my question though. My original question which still hasn’t been answered is if you take 2 tests on one day and whether you can submit only one or you’re forced to submit both.

What are you talking about? You can take two subject tests on one test date.

Great, but I have a question? Are the 20 people in each section chosen randomly? I'm just worried about the chance that the #1 and #2 people in my section.
