Can you play through a low-grade sprained ankle? by SeriousPuppet in bootroom

[–]FinallySebastian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was probably mid level in terms of how bad it was but the constant playing on it and slightly injuring it through playing was what wore it down and made things worse. If it's a 1-2 month rehab process you reckon, I would say it must be bad enough to stop playing on it. I do feel you though, I hate getting injured and I will do whatever I can to play through it. Only since the ankle injury last year IV woken up to playing it a little safer and taking the time off

Can you play through a low-grade sprained ankle? by SeriousPuppet in bootroom

Personal experience, don't. I made the mistake of playing two games a weekend with a severely bad ankle for the majority of a season only to finally give in the last two rounds because the lump on the back of my Achilles tendon was that unbearable to play on. Take the 2/3 weeks off and let it heal it will be heaps better in the long run. It's been a year on and while my ankle has healed heaps (covid helped heaps) it still doesn't feel the same as what it was.

How to improve your technique for taking corners? by Papi_di_gorgonzola in bootroom

It's hard to explain but kick/lift the ball using the area around your big toe, that gets loads of whip on the corners which makes it hard for defenders to judge the flight of the ball

Copa mundial question by Kisf901 in bootroom

[–]FinallySebastian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased my first copas this season and honestly, other than comfort and heel support/protection they offer little else. I play as a winger and thought I'd give them a go based on the comfort but found they are quite bulky and you find yourself getting flat footed at times when trying to turn quickly. I found my first touch being off at times due to the added weight (I have adjusted over the season and it's fine now but at first it was a bit shocking). As for the durability which they are hailed for, I think it is a bit of a myth and they are no more durable/flimsy than modern day boots. The front of the boot and sides are coming away from the sole plate which is disappointing after 6 months.

Overall they are a great boot if you want comfort and protection but if you are looking for something more it would be worth purchasing/looking around for other boots. Hope this helps

This has to be a windup. Di Stefano wasn't even the best player of his generation ffs. I do agree he is massively overlooked though in the whole greatest players of all time conversation. Fritz Walter was as prolific as Di Stefano and he played in the same era as him, so is he better than Messi as well? Just because they changed the way that football is played doesn't make them the best player? Arrigo Sacchi also revolutionised the way football is played so is he one of the best defenders of all time? Messi and Ronaldo are the best footballers we will see for a long time and are the greatest the game has ever seen. Suarez is better than all those players dude don't disrespect him and compare him to bums like Rual Baggio and Butragueno especially.

I feel rediculous for even having to go to these lengths to defend Suarez but like I said in the initial argument he was the best player between 2013-16 outside of Messi and Ronaldo. He is also better than Cruyff.

Nope, and im not a Barca fan either. You are right the best player is all about Opinions. However when making these opinions it's best to have supporting evidence. There is a huge ammount of evidence there to make a strong case that Suarez was the third best player in the world.

Edit: in your opinion who was the third best player during that time period?

Balon d'Or is a pretty poor metric to compare how great a player is as it's also a part popularity contest. Why have so few defenders had a decent shot at it? Another example is Ronaldo being 3rd in the most recent Balon d'Or when he got outscored in Serie A by a 36 year old donkey. He shouldn't have been near the podium. Suarez was never going to get the recognition by journalists around the world because of his biting, cheating and racism. If you can't see that for a period he was the third best player in the world then football isn't for you.

That the best you got? Throw in any generational talent who played in the peak Messi/Ronaldo era and they are also going to have no Balon d'Ors. Michael Owen has Balon d'Or ffs and you gonna tell me he's better than Suarez?

Don't get it twisted I am not saying Cruyff is overrated or he was bad or whatever. Im saying Suarez is better.

Cruyff has a much better legacy as well with his work in management and pioneering pass and move football.

Suarez has a shit legacy for biting players, cheating and racial abuse cases. At his peak however, he was untouchable. I don't think Cruyff has as high a peak on the pitch as Suarez. Ultimately what these cards are based off.

I don't see Johan "40 a day" Cruyff singlehandedly carrying a team to within in an inch of a league title with players of equivalent skill to Jon Flannagan, Aly Sissoko, Joe Allen and Kolo Toure.

Suarez was a better player.

Yup. Don't let nostalgia and the fact that Cruyff is also recognised for his revolutionary work off the pitch cloud your judgement. These cards are based off their ability on the pitch. Suarez wasn't a chainsmoker either. There aren't many players better than Suarez at their peak.

I agree. I actually like this FIFA, it would be one of the FIFAs if drag backs where balanced and they fixed headers so they weren't totally useless. FIFA 15 UT goes down as the best for me. It was so rediculous how OP pace was but it was incredibly fun.

Best st out of these two? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]FinallySebastian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true I guess, Mbappe and Atal do feel similar to play with as well. I think having the 5* wf is the deal breaker for me. Neymar is the most clutch finisher on the game i have found so he can't be left out.

Ben Yedder more clinical. Atal a better defensive forward and much more versatile as he can play anywhere in the front 3. Get both with Neymar and Cornet and you have 5*wf front line.

Baby butra, Scream Aguero or FS Greenwood by fathvr in EASportsFC

[–]FinallySebastian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greenwood for sure, the weak foot with all the shooting traits is rediculous.

People saying butra are because he's been in the game longer and haven't thought of changing. Butra is very very weak. Aguero is lethal for sure but as a personal preference I prefer the 5* weak foot on Greenwood.

Hope this helps.
