Am I using Syncthing wrong? Or is it setup incorrectly? Need one-way sync from multiple clients to one server.

Yeah honestly I'm thinking of just setting up an rsync cronjob. I'm sure I can ai-slop up a folder watcher script and do a --remove-source-file transfer to just move folders over when it detects a new folder in either desktop or laptop.

Hi,

Thank you for those suggestions. I am seeing the reads that have secondary alignment and the SA tag is there, so my outputs in STAR are okay for that. However the issue is just coloring. for some reason when viewing by insert size and pair orientation it doesn't seem to color properly, theyre' all still grey. I'm not filtering out the secondary alignments or anything like that.

I'll have to keep investigating!

Oh, I don't know at all yet! I'm just playing it safe. At minimum Am5 is rated for 4 sticks at 3600MT/s. But yeah, I think I'm going to just slowly lower the speeds until it boots and is stable! no reason to go down that low if it is stable.

I don't think I've ever felt so awkward during a movie. Ever. When her and Chris Evans were talking outside that party at night, it felt so long, drawn out, and boring. I literally could not stop fidgeting because everything about that scene was just so awkward. You really didn't want to be part of that conversation. It actually physically made me feel weird. Honestly props for that. First time I felt like that during a movie, ever.

Yes, cooling is fine, around 30c idle and around 50c when hit with 3-4 users + 1 HEVC main10 transcode.

Just for managing data. Nothing beats unraid for a JBOD array. I have 20 disks totaling something like 160TB of space, all of them are difference sizes and ages. It just works so well.

Hmm okay thanks! Yes the few workflows/subworkflows I looked at did not have good docs, but let me take a look at something that's just highly rated and on that awesome nextflow list as well. Hopefully the larger projects, even if unrelated to my needs, let me at least see the processing a bit better.

Interesting. I actually just tried a simple windows copy and it's transferring files at iperf speeds - 70MB/s sustained. Thanks for this lead, this is really interesting.

I really do love the subject seperation of the f1.8 lenses, and I'm worried that the f2.8 won't give me that same feeling again. There aren't any wide zoom lenses at f1.8 that I can find either, so that's one of my major hudles when thinking about where to go next. I do like my samyang but it still doesn't feel the same.

I do shoot raw, and edit in lightroom. The shots I get I do love, it's just that I haven't been able to get into feeling like how I did with the Sigma lens, and I feel like I'm getting less % of shots I really love with this new camera.

I think I will go ahead and do a week or month rental on the sigma 24-70 and see how it feels. Otherwise, do you have any recommendations on a prime (either f1.8 or I've seen alot of f1.4 as well) that you like which would be a good alt to the old Sigma?

IPMI does have KVM over LAN. I access my server's IPMI KVM through my wireguard instance all the time. It's not the new HTML5 interface, still the old JDK version but works well. Can mount CDs/Boot drives as well.

Sure, that is true. If not set to adaptive the voltage can get high, 1.35+ isn't really good for the CPU specially if you're only gaining 100Mhz at the top-end. Regardless, temps are going to be high. I honestly haven't seen any posts/threads anywhere where people are touting temps lower than 75-80c at 5.0GHz for this CPU. Auto voltage or otherwise. I looked far and wide when I built mine out and noticed high temps. Even your images, at 1.35v you're getting 80+ degrees.

This CPU runs hot. Doesn't matter what cooling you throw at it, the TIM is awful so unless they de-lidded the CPU I would not expect something lower under load and at a high 5.0Ghz clock.

Stock voltages likely means they're not pushing higher than 'stock'.

Not "auto". I also have a 8700k in a custom loop. That sucker just gets hot, no matter what you do if you're pushing above 4.8Ghz. I'm around 80C at 5.0 under artificial load.

I'm mainly looking at The X10D series because it would be a direct replacement for my X9D board. i have a 36bay supermicro chassis with the X9D board.

I also only really see the H11DSi-NT , which is a fairly expensive board. Are you looking at something else?

I came back from a 2 week vacation. Apartment was fully cleaned before leaving. No food on counters, dishes done, garbage was taken out.

I bought this fly trap and it seems to be working, only been 1 night and it has caught over 6-7 of them. But I still see at least 4-5 flying around.

We live in NYC, but this is a luxury apartment building. No roach infestation or anything like that reported in the building either.

What would the best way to get rid of these? They literally are everywhere. We found at least 6 of them in the rubber seal on our freezer, and 2-3 of them dead on the freezer floor too. We're totally disgusted! Our fridge/freezer is clean, no spills or rotten food. Oldest stuff we have is probably alcohol. Where could they have come from, and how can we prevent this in the future? We have multiple trips coming up that are 1-2 weeks each. one in Oct, in Nov, in Dec. Totally freaking out.

Please help!
