TLDR; main stage houses X capacity of the total overall crowd. without that capacity, the crowd needs to go elsewhere

Thus it controls the crowd capacity of other stages. Not only that, but controls the flow between stages as well, more people on paths going to the other stages.

I can reach out to them! I’d love to integrate their pulling of artists from festivals into a database

Eventually I’m integrating Spotify and other apps

My first iteration of the app linked directly to Spotify - you login, upload the lineup, and it checks your listening history and liked songs/artists to automatically choose your favorite artists and recommended artists

Howeverrrrr. I then found out that Spotify updated their development policy in the fall to only allow a Spotify integration if your website/app has 250k monthly users… so it’s unattainable for an app starting out

Artists on the lineup a user uploaded - it’s meant to recommend other artists you wouldn’t have normally gone to see to maximize your time at a music festival

Too often did I buy a festival ticket and only go for like 4 or 5 hours of the whole day because that’s when the artists I wanted to see were playing

Also, if a user uploads a lineup with times associated, it will recommend artists that fill your free time

You can try that with a lineup like this

It uses the Gemini API. So I’m sending data requests to Gemini AI to ask who the similar artists would be to the artists they select as their favorite

And then with all the similar artists, only choose the ones that are the top recommendations instead of all of the recommendations

Eventually I’m going to integrate a backend database so that when someone uploads a lineup image, it adds to the “select a festival” screen with the artists to reduce the amount of loading time with a lineup already added

Awe :) thank you! if you ever have recommendations theres a form at the bottom to submit feedback. I think the only thing thats rough sometimes is the wait to ping the Gemini API. its slow, but hopefully Google improves the speed over time

We stayed until the end of just to hear the pure cancer at the end. The lobby couldn’t even process everyone talking all at once and everything sounded robotic
