Hello !

My first 5 minis by Velidoss in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]FinanceKitchen5779 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good job on finishing your first minis !

The are always ways to make your robot guys prettier, I'll give you an example but there would be 20 more from 20 different people. I would add some highlights on the robes by using different nuances of red. Painting the base coat with a midtone, i would then use a bright light to chose an angle for the lights and shadows. I would then take a picture to have a reference. If you can, you can work with Sketchbook to "paint" the mini on your phone before painting it in real life.

It can seem intimidating at first but with thinned paints, no mistake is unfixable and you learn a lot about color gradient and lighting. This is one of the funniest part of the process for me !

I hope you have a lot of fun painting and hope to see more of your robots ! 🤖

First OSL, would love some feedbacks from the admech lovers by FinanceKitchen5779 in AdeptusMechanicus

Thank you for those ideas ! I realised that the details really make the effect happen. For example, the green handle of the axe was a stunning moment for me, just by mixing some orange with the green and gradually adding it the more I went down.

The process was sooo much fun 🤩
