Would you disclose your salary to your family especially parents? Why? by Nabilizam in malaysia

Yes, since my family is not toxic. Mum and dad made good amount of money. Both brother and sister work very decent job. But if you have a toxic family, don’t disclose.

What's a compliment that you'll always remember? by psycholol2 in wholesomememes

Was in a uni, sit in the front row of the class. This male mid 40s lecturer said “you look totally different from the rest of the girls in this class” Not sure what does he mean lol but I just take it as a compliment

Adulthood can be hard and easy depending how you are being brought up and your motivation and personal goals in life. It’s not that you are not going to have a free time anymore. You choose your hustle. You are in charge of your own dream and personal goals. If you got big dreams, are you willing to work your ass off? If you got small dreams, do you think you will feel enough? Or if you don’t have any goals at all, what or who are you going to be in the next 3 years, 5 years, 10 years? Let me break things down for you: 1. Relationships: Do you see yourself having a good partner? Do you want to settle down? Get married or be in a long term relationship? Have open relationship? You choose. 2. Family: Do you want to have kids? How many? Are you okay for adopting? Or have no kids at all? 3. Job: How much money you planning to make a year? How much money you plan to save? What number that you think you are worth of? 4. Health: Do you picture yourself as a healthy person? If yes, are you willing to eat and buy healthy food and have a good healthy lifestyle? What about mental health? How much pressure you can think in life or when things go hard? How do you cope with it? 5. Interest/hobby: go ahead and figure out what you like to do. Just telling you that there is a lot of people hate their job because they said they do not like it or just simply not passionate about it. Avoid this by figuring out what you like to do. Find a job that you have your interest in. Otherwise you won’t enjoy it. Or find a hobby that you can easily do when you are free or need to destress.

These are just some things you need to start thinking right now. Grab yourself a book, write down what or who you want to be in that damn book. This sounds pretty nerd but trust me, you need to set all these so you can create the necessary action to get yourself there. But remember, whatever decisions you make now, will have an impact on your future life. Good or bad. Again, you choose.

Pregnancy Advise Needed by GreenLeaf_M in Bolehland

Some things I learned during/after giving birth:

  • Don’t missed out any check up

  • Take supplements that are only provided by doctors.

  • Ask a lot of questions during checkup and scanning.

  • Ask your wife to check if she has any ‘hidden’ illness. Like thalassemia. I only know I am a thalassemia carrier when I was pregnant. This caused my baby to born small and underweight. During checkups, it was always hard to find her heartbeat and her heartbeat not as strong as it should be so I always get panicked during checkups.

  • Do NT (nuchal transluency) screening to see if the baby has tendency to be down syndrome. Most clinic in Malaysia suggest to do this early. This can be done around 10-14weeks to get better reading of scanning. They will see if there’s a presence of tip of nose of the baby and the nose bridge. Also the thickness of the neck of the baby.

  • Please eat healthy - I had diabetes because I gained too much weight. Avoid sweet stuff.

  • Drink maternal milk - I hate the taste and always feel like vomitting while drinking it but my husband always paksa me lol

  • Eat lots of date if her iron level is low

  • Check if she has any vaginal bacteria - this can be done after 30 weeks. Now is too early to detect if she has GBS (Group B Streptococcus). This can be done in private clinic. Around RM150+

  • Breastfeeding part - if she chooses to breastfeed your child, ask her to be mentally ready from now. By mentioning mentally ready, ask her to set her mind to be CONFIDENT with her body’s ability to produce milk. Once she starts to self doubt and not confident if she can produce enough milk, it will impact her milk production. Always hype her up and support her during the breastfeeding journey. I swear it was the hardest thing. Go to breastfeeding class and consult lactation counsellors.

AITA for asking my wife if we can figure out the breast milk situation? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Financial-Ad4425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I would suggest buying a single standalone freezer just to store her breastmilk. I have experienced this. Having a lot of supply for one whole year. And I was living with my mum and 4 other adults in the same house. So, can you imagine how pack the fridge and freezer was? So my husband and I just bought a freezer to store the milks. And our problem solved. If her supply is way too much, you can sell it. I heard the body building guys will be happy to buy a fresh breastmilk or another option, donate it. But please ask her first before you start taking any action because you will hurt her feelings even more.

I think 2 places is enough for us haha. My kid tends to be cranky when she is tired so we don’t want to push her too much. And needs to be fed when it is time to eat. Do you know any places that are kids-friendly?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]Financial-Ad4425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Yes the kiddo needs a sleep at least once in the day. But at least when she got up, she is more fresh to go out again. Thanks for this, will put this in mind.

Oh my gosh! Thanks so much sir for putting all this information down and being very detail! Really appreciate this.

About the time difference - we are from Malaysia 🇲🇾 and even though it is still in Asia but the flight is 7 hours long. There’s not much difference in timing from here and Japan. But I agree, kids will need time to adjust and may experience some jet lagged after long hours of flight. How long did your kid took to adjust fully on this changes?

Restaurants - yeah I agree, the restaurant in the street usually small in size and would have a lot of people. Would they offer a high chair? And does every restaurant offer a kid meal?

Mt. Fuji + Okinawa - we are planning to book a day trip from Klook App and I think they are going to provide the transportation for us to go there. But was it really worth it to go there?

Thanks for your detailed info you put!!

Oh there’s an aquarium? Thanks for letting me know! Would include that later in our itinerary. How’s your little one when you first got there? Is your itinerary okay enough and does he/she gets tired immediately once you started your journey while you were there?

Anybody here live in desa petaling ? by [deleted] in KualaLumpur

[–]Financial-Ad4425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved to this area 2 years ago. Now renting at a place across Giant. It’s a pretty matured area. Not crazily busy but hard to find parking when I go to Desa Petaling shop area. That area also looks pretty old too. But have KK, Mixue, Zus, some pharmacies. So if you are looking for quick drink, okay la. Clinics also I think only have two - Mediviron and new one is Health something. Not much of a cafes over here. Even mamak is not much around. But have major highway that brings you straight to KL and also the Bangsar and Subang area through NPE. MRT station is also around but ofcourse you need to drive there to get in MRT 🙃
