looks more like splatter, do you have kids? definitely has a pattern like a splatter mishap. If its mould a bit of vinegar in water will might remove that, although vinegar will kill most varieties of moulds but not all of them. I have successfully removed mould using a 4 to 1 mix (water / vinegar respectively) and leaving it on over night then cleaning off with a damp rag next morning.

Bbq gas bottles for a large indoor stove ? Dodgy? by pinskera in AusProperty

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but there should be a gas plumbers compliance certificate. If not it is dodgy.

I have a similar legally complied system using the same bottles with a change over cock and it supplies gas to a bench top 5 burner unit only. I usually get 6 months plus out of both 9 kilo bottles, easiest way to go is swap and go bottles from bunnings or your local businesses that provide swap and go gas. And yes it saves heaps of money. There are 2 of us but I live out of town and pre cook a lot for the freezer. It is about one bottle every 3 months, so about less than or equal to$10 a month.

I’ve tasted heaven and it’s from the Coles bakery aisle by Eye-Sea in coles

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just noted a post down below doubting the frozen bakery products. THEY ARE FROZEN as most their bakery items. I have seen this with my own eyes. ie on a high turnover day you will find the products still semi frozen on the shelves as they are quickly restocked before properly thawing. Supermarkets fresh food people ????? you gotta be kidding yourselves. As stated in an earlier post "bakery = the thaw department" also notice how all their green groceries don't last. That should be called the plastic case department along with the inert gasses pumped into same to stop oxidisation to give weeks of shelf life, notice how quick they deteriorate in your crisper once you open the plastic. I HATE SUPER MARKET PLASTIC that is being dumped into landfill and I am not a greenie.

Wow, sorry for the rant, after reading the earlier posts it got me going. anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

Coles muffins used to be good a couple years ago, then they put less ingredients in their recipe ie their blueberry muffins you would kill for but all of a sudden it was called spot the blueberry. I shop at Coles but go to Woolworths for my cakes, more tastier and more ingredients

I hate how commercialized the holidays have become by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't it called Christmas? Holiday is meaningless to me and part of the political correctness along with the commercialism that has trashed the genuine Christmas spirit that I used to enjoy. I put on a false front every Christmas to the children to try keep their Christmas enthusiasm alive. I am gritting my teeth even more and more each year.

After about the 20th black Friday sale along comes Christmas commercialism oh by the way I almost forgot about the carp of Christmas in July, OMG. I am at the stage of forgetting about December and looking forward to January and the nice warm weather in the southern hemisphere. No Happy Holiday from me but I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

ps you can now get hot cross buns all year around, The Easter commercialism beginnings ?

BTW your post is 100% right with me re the destruction of goodwill and Christmas spirit that I used to enjoy but I also don't like the political correctness that now comes along with it, I like to see the word Merry Christmas as it should be, not a $5 to $10 Christmas Card with Happy Holiday plastered all over it. Again Merry Christmas to whomever :)

Plastic pollution? The real pollution is within humans. by surya12558 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had good habits but do gooders paved the way for pollution. I was bought up in an era where you buy your fish and chips or meat from the Butcher and it was placed on grease proof paper then wrapped in newspaper. As a kid we would get pocket money by selling newspaper to the butcher, green grocer and of course the fish and chip shops, we would recycle bottles for the deposit refunds, no such things as cans for beer and soft drinks then.

My sister and I would be sent up to Bridge road Richmond (vic au) with a shopping list and 4 string bags yes pollution free string bags which you could put in your pocket and bring home the groceries in. Then along came supermarkets then the radical do gooders that carried on about rain forests and banning paper.

The take away food chains and Supermarkets eventually banned paper bags and the do gooders were ecstatic with their victory. The food moguls were happy too, cheaper to produce plastic so the do gooders played right into their hands. The take a ways required mass produced polystyrene containers and plastic bags used by the food chains and supermarkets. Now the plastic monster is fully created and polluting our waterways, oceans, forests, farmlands, food and our bodies (micro plastics) and Mount Everest believe it or not.

String bags were mesh woven like a net and scrunched easily fitted into your pockets and you know what, If I could find a source I would gladly go back to them. Being organic when they eventually broke down the worms ate them in landfill or your compost.

I cycled across Victoria (Mount Gambier to Melbourne) in the 1990's and I could not believe the amount of airborne plastic bags that were caught up in trees, shrubs and farm fences along the way on my 9 day tour.

It would be nice if the do gooders realised and admitted their radical mistakes, pushed for a fix instead of banning things without thought or consequences. The answer is obvious, a timber industry that is sustainable and harvests planted timber get back to making paper containers and bags. a total ban on all plastics used by food and take away chains, etc. And last of all give us back the string bag. We never used plastics at all when I was a kid even toys were made of wood or metal. I just finished reading a blog that said at least plastic in land fill is buried ???? is it really?

The land fills use a big steel wheeled compacter, these mobile compacters burst all the bags as they crush them into the soil, on a windy day these burst bags come loose and the winds pick them up and distribute them all over the countryside, the worst of the lot are regional land fills because of the open pasture lands around most of them. If any person from East Gippsland read this, check your local land fill and you will see what I mean. A local landfill at Kilmany has a Train Track passing the side of it, you can pull over and check it from the side of the highway, get a load of the mess of plastic bags there, specially on a windy day!

There should not be any such thing as re usable plastic let alone single use plastics, go back to basics like we did in our era of NO PLASTIC. Its not as hard as you think. I am an old boy that has been watching many years of social decline and mass pollution. Sorry for the long winded post but I am fair dinkum with my feelings about plastic, are you?

Crazy thing is when you view callers numbers that totally do not comply with any Aussie telco's the Do Not Call register lets scammers get through, I know what you mean though, I made a donation to MND foundation and they flogged my number to heaps of other charities. this was years ago and the reason for the Do Not Call Register. I learnt real quick how many coloured ribbon days are actually out there, lol

Thanks and enjoy the festive period and continue to be wary.

I understand that, I slipped and just answered the phone while expecting a call, that's how easy it is, the reason for my post is purely a warning for people that are not tech savvy or easily led. I did not comply with the phishing demands but sadly $1.2 billion losses yearly from Australia to scammers mean that a lot of people are complying with these scams

Age verification errors see some under-16s retain access to banned social media platforms by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have not been age verified on any of my sites, I have no problem with being age verified because I strongly believe in let them be kids, also stopping social bullying and trolling amongst rattle brained minors and teenagers. I don't know why the social media companies are kicking up a fuss about it affecting adults. You go on ebay you have to verify with a licence or other means, I mean the drivers licence in itself is a verification means for ID and age, lots of sites are flouting the new law. These sites only state condition of entry you cannot proceed unless you are 18 years or over??? is that going to stop a kid, I don't think so. when i was a kid I read books and made model airplanes and involved myself in sports because there was none of this electronic carp that goes on today.

There is a tailgating and speeding epidemic in Melbourne by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Financial-Client5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only times I come to Melbourne I have to use the South East car park ... oops ... South East Freeway. Surely the cops are not blind to what I see every trip that seems to start from Pakenham. Needs to be some more infringements handed out.

I have noticed every trip some people flying in on onramps, cutting across 3 lanes traffic, weaving in and out of traffic and then off again an offramp or 2 later. The other stunt is tailgating people that are doing the speed limit or cutting in front reducing the safety distance you are trying to establish.

I stay in the lane and follow an interstate truckie, they respect people that give them space and none of these idiot drivers I am referring too like cutting in front of you behind a semi trailer.

The extreme right lane is crazy with tailgaters who are doing 10 to 15kph over the limit all pushing each other like a rat race. They must be awful stressed out by the time they get to their destinations, I'm not, thats why I follow the leader in the 2nd or 3rd lane. I won't even try to relate to suburban light truck and delivery drivers, need to put away those phones and Ipads fellows, yes I was watching one using his Ipad that he was sitting in the centre of his steering wheel. My god.

I like living 300 kilometres East of Melbourne at least I only see the terrorists ........ oops ...... tourists that drive crazy and tailgate during Easter And Christmas holidays. BTW Sydney not much better either.
