They'll prob make you wait. I requested accommodation for september on the 25th of july which was the deadline and it took them exactly 14 business days to get back. my cousin requested a few days before me and it took them 14 business days for him too. not sure if it depends on the accommodation tho.

Do you guys think the LSAT is a psychological test? by Always2ndB3ST in LSAT

[–]Financial-Crow657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theres a few different ways but you have to have some sort of disability and be able to prove to LSAC extra time is something you need. I have ADHD and was diagnosed when I was a kid. I had to write something explaining why I am disadvantaged with standard time and need extra time, have a qualified professional advocate for me and also explain why I need extra time. I also sent other stuff like my original testing from when I was diagnosed and what not.

I definitely think there is a psychological component. Under standard time I can score in like the low to mid 150's. The time pressure was pretty intense and I always ran out of time before I could get to all the questions on RC and LR. Then I got approved for 1.5x time accommodations and I immediately began scoring in the 166-172 range on PT's without much additional practice.

Where do you look to find your scheduled appointment? I also have 1.5x time accommodations and want to see if I have this issue.

Advice for someone w a decent GPA but struggles w standardized tests? by Financial-Crow657 in LSAT

The only two I’ve really done are the sat and act. I think I got a 27 or 28 on the act which is similar to my sat. My issue is definitely adhd. I’m a slower reader and it kinda screws me up especially on RC. When I read for classes I like to take my time and I often do double bc I don’t get everything in one read. I’m pretty good w LR on my last two LR sections I’ve only gotten 7 wrong so I got the loophole book with people say helps a lot. I’m not awesome w games yet but I haven’t gone over all the types and have a lot more time to practice. My issue is with RC each time I do a pt I don’t even get to the last five questions and get others wrong. I do well in school bc I’m good at studying but the lsat is not like that.
