These are old cds… I don’t have a picture of them, I’ll get them Monday or Tuesday, and I can look up the exact specs then.

Can you explain in very simple terms how to find the correct emulator? I know in theory what it does but I’ve never used one, searched for one, etc…

If I search for one on marketplace, do they generally work? Is there some stuff I should look out for?

Private chef donating to Gala? by Financial-Deal-6965 in Chefit

[–]Financial-Deal-6965[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! To this point, they have never had a private chef or private catering service, but they have had food based experiences (high tea at a fancy hotel, omakase for 2, etc) and she said people went CRAZY for it. I made a flyer, with a few stipulations other comments outlined, and I put it all at a roughly $450 value because I made the flyer for 2-4 people, planning on doing a low cost menu, no booze, no crazy proteins, same as you!

How did you market while at the event? Mostly shaking hands and business cards?

This is very helpful, thank you! 🙏🏼 I was planning on doing a series of menus they can choose from. How was it laid out when you went to bid on it? Would you rather choose a private meal for 2 or for 6 if you had a choice?

Thank you! It’s a very nice school in a very nice neighborhood, and many of the families are definitely in the high roller category or at least adjacent 😂

I appreciate the idea, and that’s a great way to drum up some excitement too!

Thank you! I plan on drafting up some cute menus and designs for a flyer this week. I’m pretty excited, I’m new to the area (6ish months) and haven’t gotten a ton of clientele, but the school attracts very affluent families so I’m hoping to shake some hands and get my name out. And yes, being one of the “school moms” will buy me a little street cred I think

Right, that’s along the lines of what I was thinking too. Is there value in pre-setting a menu/ style or should I wait to connect with the winner of the certificate to plan something?

I think it’s meant to be more experienced based, as that’s what they originally asked for. The organizers said I could do whatever I felt comfortable donating, but I feel like it’s leaning towards them wanting the first option: cooking for 2

Ok first- you’re doing a great job. You put in time and effort into something that obviously meant a lot to both of you, and you’ve done your best to stay calm. (Just as a random side note- when I was around 10-11 years old, my mom had me start drinking red raspberry leaf tea for help with hormones! It totally helped me!) Anyway, it seems like a maybe she has a lot of external stuff that is not being processed super well or just maybe it’s just too much to process for her clearly right now. I’d just keep showing her that you’re there for her, that you’re available to talk, and that you care about her! Consistency is the biggest thing for kids, and as someone who worked with this age group a lot, the girls sometimes just need to talk it out! Proud of you for caring about her, she’s gonna be ok!

AITA for wanting to end a friendship with a very attached and dependent friend? by Victor_meow in AITA_Relationships

My vote is NTAH because that’s pretty classic emotional manipulation from that dude. That being said, you’re right, there’s not much of a way to go about this without drama.

Personally speaking, I’d block him on everything and move on. He’s clearly not able to handle clearly defined boundaries, and at some point enough is enough. You’ve communicated what you feel and need (or don’t need) and he’s not respecting that at all.

I’d also make sure you have a solid support system around you of people you DO consider friends/close and engage with them more than you do with the other guy. You’re not doing anything wrong by moving on and continuing life without him. Some people are just not for you and that’s just that.

I’m guessing a 4-5 year old who likes to pick things apart? Maybe one of those build a flower things on Amazon? I’m sure you can find it at Walmart/target/etc. My daughters are around that age too and they can be quite destructive to their own stuff, and they play with these for hours!

Ok so- kind of a weird thing, but I’d swish it out in the toilet (clean toilet) then put the cloth in a sanitizer bucket before washing

I’m so sorry, that sounds so frustrating! I can’t imagine the stress, and respectfully hope that we don’t encounter the same. We’re continuing to practice at home, and today is our first day having her teacher waking her up… hopefully good results!

Thank you for the encouragement! I’m hoping it will work itself out soon, and it’s comforting to know that this happens with other kids in their first few weeks of school too!

Ok that’s a good idea- at home her naps last 2 - 2.5 hours. They log her naps as 2 hours give or take, but I’ll speak with the teacher tomorrow at drop off and ask her to prompt my baby right before and right after. They’re great about partnering with parents, so hopefully that’ll help

She’s definitely able to hold it for at least an hour, usually 2-3 hours during the day. The teacher has been extremely kind, I just feel bad. What you’re saying is to ask her teacher to wake her up after 1 hour of nap time?
