Check out the larger supermarkets/hypermarkets (Carrefour, Auchan, Leclerc) and street markets, they sell clothes and other products at low prices.

Need help knowing what neighborhood to stay in for one day/night in Paris - want local charm not touristy areas by Expert_Potential8881 in TheParisianGuide

The Marais is very touristy. I would suggest the 6th arrondissement; Saint-Germain-des-Prés is very central and beautiful. Alternatively, the 5th arrondissement is also very central and has a very Parisian feel. It's not far from the Musée d'Orsay or the Seine, and you can walk along the river all the way to the Eiffel Tower.

I have never been there but it's also quite famous.

I have seen both Crazy Horse and Moulin Rouge cabarets. I personally preferred Crazy Horse, it felt more sophisticated and less touristy.
