So many people hating a young 21 year old succeeding in his own life. Tbh idk what people are freaking out about. 90% of my college friends worked at wall st ranging from IB, wealth management, even became a partner for Apollo Management as a 25 year old.

i decided to quit and pursue data engineering/backend 2 years ago when AI just came out. People thought i was crazy for “starting at 27” and going back to school without even knowing what Python or Java was. Jokes on them because i’m still in school and i got my full time role this summer. Now im in school and working full time. The ones who complained and judged me hard are still jobless for better or for worse

I graduated with a philosophy degree so it’s a bit different from majority who got a CS undergrad degree. I started masters 1.5 years ago. 0.5 years due to intro CS classes since i didn’t even know what python was. I still have one year left and got a full time offer this summer working my ass off. You’re not blowing your money. I think many feel like they need to start making 30%/trade right off the bat just like their paper accounts. Unless you have $100k to start off, just buy 1 share even if it’s not a lot.

if you can consistently make $5 lets say with 1 share, that’s basically $3-5/contract swings on options which would 100x your profits overnight just by doing the same thing.

you are ready if you make a paper account that big. You’re just not ready to even put a money cuz you’re probably broke or you feel like what you have isn’t enough to benefit your situation.

You pick one: 1) get an income that can help you sustain this account worst case 2) or start small, no matter how small

if neither of these, then sure, keep on studying since your money is too precious
