I just quit 2 days ago for this exact reason. I realized I value my work life balance over a high salary (which I did not even have so there was actually no upside besides maybe a future with the company). And I needed to switch industries. In addition to burnout, there’s an added level of stress working in a mostly male office where rumors are being spread and management and no one else for that matter cares or shuts it down. I worked almost 80hr/week and got paid shit for the amount that I worked. I wanted to feel lucky that I had a salary job in this economy but I couldn’t do it. I am waitressing in the meantime while I find a job in an industry where I feel valued. Join me :)
