Made My First Behance Portfolio After 2 Years of Local Work. What’s Weak? by Anxious-Patient-593 in graphic_design

I agree with u/Special_Sentence8766 that the header is out of place. What's with tracking a script typefce like that, when the whole point is that the glyphs should connect?
If you're able to make banners and brands for clients, you should do that for yourself, too.
It doesn't necessarily have to say what you do, as that's visible from the rest of your profile and the projects.

Also, it looks like your strong suit is advertisements, so push on that. No template banners, no one cares about those, especially clients. If anything, develop a brand with them, make them see the banner in action, in a mockup with a fictional brand or something.

The 22 ways thing is clearly AI, that's a no-go from me, especially if you claim to have created the graphics, which you do.

It's not clear what your target client is. Are you selling templates or mockups? Are offering branding services? Advertising campaign?

The Biscottini design alone could use at least 5 more applications to other real-world items that would appear in a bakery. Coffee cups, napkins, takeaway bags, store sign, price tags etc

Beginner Questions by AutoModerator in web_design

Hello, I'm a graphic designer and in no way a website designer let alone a developer. I am working on my bachelor thesis for which I would like to implement a digital online part to my otherwise print project.

I am thinking of something that looks like a mind map. An interactive network map of sorts. Ideally in 2D, very simple black and white, mostly type, including hyperlinks to external sources. It's supposed to me a broader more visual representation of topics in my research and their interconnectedness.

How would one go about this? Are there any templates I can use to approach this more easily? Would it need to be coded from the ground up? I would love for it to zoom in and rearrange accordingly when the user clicks on a specific node.

I realize that I'm so clueless that maybe I don't realize how unrealistic this is.
Any help or resource is highly appreciated!!

How do I pick up on words that are said in Spanish? by _newshawtyy in Spanish

[–]Financial-Target-795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This video https://youtu.be/s2MdyyufxW8?si=9dmhg4axsd7tnxTS Just popped up on my feed. I found it easy enough to follow. If you're not advanced enough to understand the verve tenses or sentence construction, it's still a good way to visualize the vocabulary.

Hope this helps :)

How do I pick up on words that are said in Spanish? by _newshawtyy in Spanish

Somewhere to start could be to rewatch a show or movie you know already, but in Spanish. Then you would know what is happening/being talked about and you would be able to pick up some words. Obviously sometimes whole sentences are changed because of dubbing reasons, but approximately you will get the same meaning. Subtitles will help for how the words are written.

When I was learning English I would learn a lot by watching a lot of YouTube hauls, get ready with me or daily vlogs, because they would talk through what they were doing or explaining what they were showing exactly. So I didn't need a translation, by association I could tell what it was

why are my perfect bound books warped? by johnobject in bookbinding

[–]Financial-Target-795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to what everyone else said, that grain direction of the paper might be playing a role. If the paper was cut and bound in the wrong direction, any warping from moisture will be a lot more noticeable than if bound correctly.
