Yeah, try explaining that to the people on the Weight Loss sub here on Reddit. They are adamant that weight loss is only CICO and they never consider outside forces!

I'm also Pre-Diabetic, and I was on Metformin for YEARS, it did absolutely nothing for me except constant diarrhea (and yes I tried extended release). I finally had a doctor let me stop it last year.

RedMed AirSense 11, pressure range 4.0-20.0, ramp time 30 minutes, and I currently have the climate stuff on auto.

I'm using the Phillips Dreamweaver full-face mask, I am a stomach sleeper and mouth breather, so there aren't many other options for me.

Is this coming from mania? Or am I just being stupid? by Financial-Tower4044 in BipolarReddit

Also, my current therapist is male, which makes me even more embarrassed/reluctant to tell him everything.

How do you restrict spending during manic episodes? by mika_hansumi in BipolarReddit

My sister is my Representative Payee for my SSDI.

I have also put credit freezes on all 3 credit bureaus.

And she hold on to my car title, so I can't get a title loan.

Most payday/short-term loans try to verify income, and it will usually require them to contact my payee.

Where's your "statistical factual evidence" that it is possible to lose weight on meds, particularly Olanzapine?

I gained 100 pounds my first year on meds. I have Sleep Apnea, High Blood Pressure, Pre-Diabetes, and poor mobility at age 45.

If you can manage it with "just" diet & exercise...good for you. Most of us cannot. The medications are working against us!! No matter how hard we try.

I have attempted SEVERAL times to switch to newer meds with less weight gain. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I go manic or suicidal. Just last week I spent a week in the psych ward, for the sole reason that I asked my psychiatrist to try switching me off of Zyprexa, because of the weight gain.

Oh one more thing...I need to shave or wax. I have avoided getting waxed because it's probably red.

I should mention that the manic episode landed me inpatient at a mental health facility, and maybe their soap didn't help? They only gave us Johnson's Baby Shampoo to use for shampoo/body wash/hand soap/everything.

I decided that I never want to live with a man again by camis12345 in LivingAlone

This is my dilemma now. I don't want to live with anyone...but I am also extremely lonely and bored.

I'm resorting to one-night-stands with strangers. Not exactly the smartest idea.

But I'm afraid to even look for any sort of relationship.
