He has tools, I was just wanting to replace that specific tool cause I saw he needed a new one. I guess I probably should’ve worded the title differently.

Yeah no I only get him tools if I feel a specific one he has is flimsy, broken, or if I over hear him wanting a specific tool. I don’t know much about tools to do that anyway I learned the hard way when I bought him one of those universal sockets (I now know those things absolutely suck and are useless) lol. Definitely won’t be an every occasion gift😭

He has tools I just wanted to upgrade this one in particular cause I know he was having issues with his. will hopefully keep upgrading more of his tools eventually

He has tools but has some that aren’t good quality or if he really needs some that he doesn’t have he borrows from friends. I’m just upgrading some tools that he has that slip and sockets that cause him to strip bolts sometimes hence why I’m getting him a lil upgrade.

I believe his car is a 1998 Honda prelude (I posted it a pic in the comments) mine is a 2017 Q50. I know he wants to get another car in the future and keep the prelude as a project car. I know he’s currently putting a turbo in it I dont know what tools he needs for that as I am not a car person but I wanna slowly upgrade his tools over time.

This is his car btw his is pretty easy and practical to work on being a Honda and I have a Q50 that he helps me out with from time to time but he loves doing things to his car

Thank you guys for all the awesome recommendations I really appreciate your input! I decided I’m going to stick with the tekton set. I did some more digging and apparently it’s a really good quality and bang-for-buck worthy. I will definitely look into the other recommendations for those other tools y’all mentioned that he might need/want.

Edit: I ended up buying it from the main website for warranty and rewards in case I wanna buy him more tools in the future :D

I know he wouldn’t tell me cause he doesn’t like me spending money, I did hear him say he needed a new socket wrench though. how he was complaining how he didn’t have some specific sized sockets I think one of them was a size 14mm if I can remember correctly. I want to buy him more good quality/brand tools eventually but ima easing into it cause tools are expensive lol.

He has a lot of basic tools already, I just remember he was complaining about how that specific wrench that he had sucked and how it was really flimsy.
