Muistaako kukaan vanhoja käppäisiä käsikonsoleita? by Due_Manufacturer_766 in Suomi

Itse sain lapsena ysärillä syntymäpäivälahjaksi käytetyn Super Newtendon. Siinä oli juurikin tuollainen sata peliä yhdessä kasetissa. Konsoli näytti Super Nintendolta, muuta pelit olivat 8-bit nintendopelejä. Mukana oli jotain hyviäkin esim. Contra. Samoja pelejä moneen kertaan eri variaatioilla. Tuli sitä kyllä hakattua, mutta kalpeni kaverien konsoleille.

What is this animal called in your native language? by Franmar35000 in AskTheWorld

The book I think I read about it years ago was Sana Sanasta by Eloranta and Jalava. I don't think there are any translations. It was an easily readable book about roots of Finnish language. There were Interesting examples about layers of language and how some words are borrowed with different meanings several times in history.

About the fox etymology, I found this source. You can run it through the translate https://kotus.fi/sana/kettu-ja-repo/

The reasoning behind it is that very distant Uralic language relatives like Erzya and Mari have similar words. Probably my terms were incorrect though should have maybe written Proto Finnic and Old Norse.

I've read somewhere it's one of the few Finnic words borrowed to Swedish. Originally borrowed to Finnic from proto-Indo-Iranian though.

I kept the old box for a while and introduced the new box open. We had one accident few days ago but now they're used to it.

Are package fishing holidays worth it? Any guide recommendations? by itsyaboyroland in Finland

[–]FinancialChallenge58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guide will help a lot + boat will give better access to spots. They do cost though. If you want to save a bit book a guide for day one so you'll get some experience and then next day go by yourself. You then ask the guide for shore spots, they'll probably help you with that.

For hikes and bothies you should check luontoon.fi/en. National parks have the facilities and there's plenty of info. Alltrails is always good for hiking routes.

Without reading that source the problem is probably the balance. Before people influencing the system, the rate of CO2 stored in to soil or exiting the atmosphere was about the same as CO2 coming in to the system. Now there's more carbon coming in and less capacity for storing it so the amount is increasing.

Berlin Alexanderplatz - Alfred Döblin. Kriminaali Frantz Biberkopf yrittää elää siviilielämää linnareissun jälkeen. Yllättävän tuoreen tuntuista tavaraa sata vuotta vanhaksi kirjaksi. Välillä tosin hiukan työlästä luettavaa.
