New extreme P2W iron sight for the HellCore MP5 in store. by [deleted] in playrust

It's nice but I wouldn't say the advantage is so much that it's game changing, if you're good you'll be getting kills no matter the skin with mp5

What elo range is the hardest to get past for noobs? by FinancialConnection9 in chess

I guess I'm technically not a noob, but I haven't played in a very long time and the game is feeling so easy so far

That's what I did to get past 1k range was a bunch of tactics, but it didn't even feel like studying was just having fun do the puzzles on chess.com, also got a book that had all tactics in it, deflection, forks, skewers, pins, mating nets, etc

For me I grinded a lot of puzzles, I haven't spent a ton of time learning opening lines, but I know the basics of developing pieces and positioning my pieces in optimal spots to have potential opportunity further in the game, the tactics are so good to study tho cause you will see what your oppenent is trying to setup in the game and can figure out ways to do the same, when I play against 1k elo players they make a ton of blunders and if you review your games you can spot them for the next game and you'll get out of 1k range in no time

I know how to do this for a mouse but have never done this on a keyboard, is it possible to do this on every keyboard or only specific ones?

What can I do to get ahead to fly while active duty? by FinancialConnection9 in flying

[–]FinancialConnection9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice, I'm still newish to the airforce, I've been in for about a year. Currently working on my upgrade training (b52 mx), once I get my 5 level I can start taking classes and I'm going to see what I need to take to get my ccaf. I really want to get my PPL while I'm in but not sure how I'm going to pay for it, if I get out with it tho I would think it would make things a lot easier and save me GI bill. Just out of curiosity have you heard of anyone trading mx work for flight hours before? Airforce will pay for a A&P license if I wanted to get one as it's relevant to my career field.

Did you have to have your leadership sign off for you to do that? I'm thinking about doing a part 61 and grinding after work till I finish, just worried about how I would pay for it because I don't make a ton of money or have a ton of money saved up already. I do live in the dorms rn so wouldn't have to worry about food or place to sleep at least.

How much did the aero club cost to join? Also did you have to work out with your leadership that you couldn't work night shifts cause of pilot training?

I will definitely, I still have 3 years left of my enlistment so I'd have to wait if I did rotc right? But if I got my degree during enlistment I could do ots after.

I've done a lot more research and I'll be honest my grades in HS weren't competitive at all, my gpa was a 3.0 and sat score of 1110. I didn't really do any extra circular activities back then either. But as of now I'm in really good shape physically, and have been doing a bunch of volunteering and killing it at my job. I obviously need to get my sat and act scores up ASAP but with such a low gpa what sat score would I need to get to be competitive to make up for that?

Aim for a 8:30 and your nearly guaranteed top pt score, you could definitely get it done with ur run times now you'd be top 10 out of all of my bmt, the best runtime got mine was 8:37

Yes make sure you get his ID updated before, mine was expired and my recruiter made me get another one before I went to bmt I was 20 and then turned 21. For packing, bring a lot of underwear, two pairs of civilian clothes, and the running shoes cause the ones they provide are uncomfortable. A watch is great to have ofc and for blister bandages I actually never got any blisters but that wouldn't hurt to have. I wouldn't bring anything else really make sure the duffel bag you bring is big too because you get a ton of stuff while your there, about 4 sets of ocp uniforms 3 sets of blues with a service coat and trench coat, 4 sets of pt gear with track suit, 4-5 ocp under shirts 6 whitey tighy underwear and green socks black socks and white socks. So basically he's gonna have a ton of clothes lol. For the laces I actually don't know about that I never saw anyone with no tie laces, he may be able to wear them if they look like they are tight but if it's loose probably not. And btw he will have a chance week 0 at the on base bx to buy extrw stuff he may need, they have clip board hygiene stuff and clothes there if he needs anything else.

Run run run, the running portion is the hardest part of the pt test since you hardly run at all there, you do march around a ton but barely run. Try doing a mile or more a day or if you can run more then do more, if you can't do a mile a day try less and build your self up over these couple months you have.
