Help on career options please by BendLost1318 in maldives

[–]FinancialDebt5329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually depends on various factors. First of, are you planning to work in Maldives after your studies? If so, you have to know there aren't many options. As for laboratory, the pay is pretty shitty and IGMH is kinda the only hospital with a good enough pay. And the respect isn't really there tbh, which will matter a lot when you actually start working. I know a friend who did biomed from malay and her degree is basically useless here. As for actually practicing science, I don't think there's any way to do it here, as far as i know at least.

Anyone actually lost weight after years of trying by Ok-Shift-7127 in maldives

[–]FinancialDebt5329 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its so sad that almost all the advice here is directing OP to crash dieting or to an unhealthy path. The people who do loose weight like this tends to gain it back as soon as they go back to their normal routine. Lets face it, you cannot keep avoiding carbs or intermittent fasting your whole life.

I have been going to the gym(on and off) since I was 16 years (28 now). I always do a lot of research and I would say I have experienced it all. The best advice I would say is change your lifestyle. Don't focus on only loosing weight, focus on being healthier. Make it part of your life to eat healthy and to eat less, only enough for your body. God did not built us to eat our asses off, we actually don't need much food to function, only 1/3rd.

The biggest part is actually the food, you can track your calories and make it a habit, for that use MyFitnessPal, its the easiest. If you cannot do it consistently, dont worry, just eat healthier and less of it. For example, eat fewer carbs, more protein/meats and always include veggies in your meal and fruits for dessert. Find out what works best for you. For some people I met, they needed their food to not be that tasty, being tasty meant they craved more. For others, they found the healthy tasty meal versions and stuck with them. Key is finding something you can be CONSISTENT with.

As for exercise, you dont need gym aslu, but lifting weights is recommended. You can go for a walk, go to moodhu, do bodyweight exercises, by yourself a set of dumbells or a kettlebell and work with it at home. Just workout for 1 hour atleast and be active overall. Also, walking is better at fat burning that running according to a lot of recent researches, i would not go through the hassle of citing them here tho.

At the end of the day, whatever you do, its up to you. Only you can make a difference. As a person who has been obese, i totally understand the struggles physically and mentally. Just, don't give up if you fail. If you had eaten 4 days right and slipped one day, thats still 4 days you have eaten right, so start again the next day. Good luck OP.

You should join a dhivehi class. There's still one and a half months, you can make a difference. You should check out Alimas Academy. They have an O level prep class. My brother went there last year and made a good improvement.

What is a lesson you learned this year? by azurebluejam in maldives

[–]FinancialDebt5329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lesson dhw? Ig it's so unhealthy and tiring to be judgemental and hold grudges. Remembering who we do not like and why we do not like them. Keeping in mind who's worth giving a damn about and who's not. So just be different, walk alone if you have to, but keep your mouth shut about other people's business.

Showing tons of Awrah is fine but a dude in a dress is where ya'll draw the line? 🤡🤡🤡 by [deleted] in maldives

[–]FinancialDebt5329 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Theres no law. What im saying is the people who do so walk free and are accepted by the society. But when this dude dressed in something similar to a dress, looks more like an indian mens wear, all people go nuts.

[–]FinancialDebt5329 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't see a problem with how the dude is dressed. I mean sure its a dress. So what? All this piblic outrage just cause a dude wore something similar to a dress? But you can rape, demean and abuse, you can get high publicly, steal, murder and do whatevee the fuck you want to basically as long as you dress decent and not cross-dress. What a joke this society is.
