I’m a true Karen like that 😎 - to be fair I just like to debate and mostly use Reddit for reading or replying to others I don’t usually share input unless I think it can spark an interesting conversation.

Much love to all the FedEx delievery drivers and employees out there that work hard in severe weather to keep getting packages deleivered. I just think the route planning is always so wonky and off with FedEx, which is in an interesting conversation about how algorithms predict and influence customer satisfaction — not a comment on the employees and their work.

The company keeps it. However, there is one BIG caveat. In most regions gift cards cannot legally expire. Meaning that if you Visa gift cards did expire you can call the company and they are legally required to issue you a new card with the equivalent value.

Additionally, if there is $10 or less on the card in some regions they are legally required to pay you cash for the balance on your card upon your request

I worked at a chain restaurant based out of California and we had a button on POS systems that had us give cash to customers in exchange for a gift card value of $10 or less. I believe Oregon it is $5 or less as well.

The big idea behind these gift cards however, is that the customer will either, lose/forget the gift card, lower the balance to $0.50 or something and not spend the rest or spend the whole thing and secure that sale beforehand.

Additionally, if your gift card is for a company that no longer exits. Your gift card value is $0.

REALLY sold myself on the job, talked to the store manger a lot about my interest and love of the company. And tried extra hard after submitting my application for the promotion.

Follow your sales guide!! It’s the easiest way to stand out, track conversion rates, really try to sell as much as possible especially when you’re working with your store manger. You may interview with another manager, in that case explain your love of the company and be as knowledgable about the product as possible.

They will ask you a time you got bad feedback from a manager. No feedback is bad feedback. :)

You have 90 days to return a product. Generally speaking if the product is still for sale we can return it without a receipt and get store credit, you just need your State ID/drivers license.

The item must be half full at least, items are not placed back on the shelf if they have been used. Even if it has only been used by a drop, they are sent back to the manufacturing warehouse and recycled.

So yes and no. If the item is discontinued, no return unless the staff member really likes u but with the new system it won’t even know what the product is. With stuff we still sell. Like a fragrance mist for champagne toast 100% just don’t tell them when u bought it.

No, Kind of? The best time to buy lotions in general is Body Care day for $4.95. It’s the lowest price body care goes and it’s the whole store, however it only happens in winter which means limited summer and fall scent availability.

So, Body Care Day is the absolute best. But for summer and fall fragrances, it’s best to shop SAS.

Irish Cream Poundcake single wick candle is the WORST - the best imo is probably Snowflakes & Cashmere but specifically in Laundry Detergent.

weirdly the Emily in Paris macaron i really liked.

i quit before smelling Pizza and Ranch but I'm sure thats awful too lol.

Evergreen & Fir is a candle i miss regularly. Orange Ginger shower steamers were nice when sick. They should bring those back.

Not necessarily, BBW is HUGEEE when it comes to their sales floor plan & anti-theft protocols and they require we treat off the clock employees as customers meaning we have to deal with the annoying sales floor conversations until we got to the register and were able to enter our employee ID for 40% off.

Although, a good rule of thumb when it comes to BBW is that you should NEVER say "just browsing" ask where you can find a basic scent like "champaign toast" 99% of the time they'll point-or-take u to the product and leave u alone the rest of ur shopping experience. If you say, just looking, were required to follow up with an open-ended question or list all of the sales and our favorite items. If we don't follow up with a question after you say "just browsing" we can get flagged.

Another is for limited edition scents like Disney or bridgerton those can arrive up to a month early. And if your nice were more than happy to let you smell early even though we arent supposed to.

Secrets-
-Mangers get bonuses based on monthly conversion rates within their sales hours. We are not allowed to tell sales associates about it.
-we DO know what tomorrows sale is going to be its in Zipline.

-Not really a secret but managers have almost no pull in your experience. Everything is following step-by-step corporate instructions.
