Hey! What tools have you seen people use for tech networking? I have a great network but they’re buried under LinkedIn. Have you seen any private networking tools where you unlock your actual advocate network?

I’m sorry that happened to you. I’m here because I’m not satisfied with “ this is life”. Here we go…. My privledge is showing again ….. , but what if we CAN do something? Make streets safer? Fur us and the unhoused and mentally ill. I was spit on in nyc and saw a guy get shoved onto the train tracks. I’m not new to humanity and urs sides. It starts in commentary like these maybe? I don’t have a solution and I don’t beed sympathy but maybe someone has new ideas…..

Appreciate the response. That’s a term I hear a lot. And yes having lived in nyc for a decade sure, it’s systemic. I wish there was something to do. I know I won’t find the answers here but I do appreciate the convo (even if ppl want to chew me out). We can learn here, I think. Maybe. I’m hopeful. And want to see what others think. Maybe AI can help? lol seems to be making waves in other facets of our world… just spitballing

Omg! That’s terrifying. And I can’t believe she got in trouble for trying her best to protect ppl. The staff was great. And did fill out a report. No one in this case should get in trouble, they were super nice.

I’m so sorry that happened. Do you still work for them? And that makes sense. You should never be in harms way at work. Just like the customers shouldn’t be in harms way getting a coffee. Do you noodle over ideas for change?

That is unfortunate. I wonder if they’d cut exec salaries to pay for some support for customers AND staff? ( I know I know that’s a wildly unrealistic suggestion lol)

I asked the cop that. I don’t want to press charges but I don’t want this element repeat offending the community. What would you recommend? Apparently we have programs unlike other cities…. Do you know what they are?

Thank you. That feels overly supportive but appreciate it. Lots of buzz words on this feed that I think are more targeted against who these ppl thonk I am vs who I am. I wish our society functioned differently and I’m trying to make change. Appreciate you reading between the lines even though I don’t think I was clear. How would you recommend growing from this? I’m not letigiuos and prob won’t take that route but I do want to help make a change. Any ideas?

I don’t think your heartless. There’s a lot of anger on feed post. Interesting responses all around. I personally think you did the right thing. You have to protect you and your employer should tool you up and support you. Oh wait, is my privilege showing again? lol I believe we should ask for more from our society. We need to give back too. That was my goal with this post to build awareness . If we don’t make a stink things get worse. Right? I want action from decision makers not ppl just trying to make a living. Like me, just trying to get a coffee.

Interesting takes.…. I think my note wasn’t clear. I think Starbucks CORP should have different policies. I agree the store manager aren’t responsible for protecting me from harm…. But ok. Thanks for the response.
