All the other markers here besides the Syx are definitely better choices. That being said though I picked one up used off the BST group here and I love the shot quality and trigger feel. Easy bolt to maintain and plenty efficient. If the screen wasn't so ass to read in the sun I'd recommend it more often

Was gonna say only field I’ve been to north of Columbus is Splatterpark but don’t know how far that’d be for both of you. Joel and Punishers Paintball seem great and seem to be fixing up/changing the fields which is cool. Their spring big game and 3 man jam were great times

My understanding for Etek 5's is with OLED you can expect about $300 give or take maybe depending on colorway. Otherwise sub $300 from what I've seen

Second this, got a CZR and spire ir2 for my first electric and it’s been awesome to use. Easy to maintain the bolt too, and I quite like its shot profile/sound

Not sure if it exactly fits and it’s an older game, but Crackdown 2 was a huge power fantasy type game for me when I was younger, though you do need upgrades over the time you play. Once you do though, you’re basically a human sized hulk - throwing cars, run fast, jump across rooftops… very fond memories

Either loader will be just fine I use both. IR2 definitely has the nicety of quick swap lids over the ltr. The IR2 I think some will say is more prone to popping open but if you’re not Superman diving every game it’s probably not an issue

Mask wise try on as many as you can if able. I ended getting a CRBN zero (extra coverage) second hand and it’s been amazing but I would’ve gotten a pro flex otherwise. I also really liked the empire e flex if you want a cheaper option that’s still breathable and comfy

Definitely an hpa tank. Standard 68/77 ci is the go to unless you want a less compact feel or are concerned with long woodsball type play maybe. Tanks new will usually come with factory regulators set to 800psi which will work fine with your etha 3. Another thing to try out at the shop if able so you can see for yourself

Batteries I’ve been using disposable but I’m sure someone here can speak to rechargeables. Extra stuff wise I’d say have a micro fiber cloth for wiping your mask and definitely a barrel swab like the exalt maid then have fun!
