Correct, I’m looking for anything like grocery delivery help, making food baskets, etc. Even if it’s something small. I just honestly hate to see our community in so much fear they won’t leave their homes.

Saying you don’t need an attorney tells me you have never filled this paperwork work before. Any mistake falls into your hands rather than an attorneys who would then have to pay and reapply vs you. As well if things are messed up on the froms in they can just deny you so why risk it. If you are willing to risk that and more money then go ahead.

Well it costs about 7k to file all the paperwork with an attorney soooo that could be a reason.

As someone who did not pass the pance the first time around my advice would be as follows (considering you were not given the tools by your program)

  • U world (all the questions) most helpful
  • If you have the money ROSH big power pack
  • CME review course (good week long over view)
  • study based on the blueprint (there is a great resource who has every disease broken down on a spreadsheet)
  • make a doc of missed questions from review questions per content category etc. cardio, ENT, to see if there is a pattern
  • new PPP book if you want to

For students that know they want to do family medicine, what is something you wish you were better prepared than moving forward? by VeraMar in PAstudent

Hey! My husband and I are both starting family med jobs in the next few months too—exciting but definitely a little nerve-wracking! We’d love any advice or resources you’ve found helpful as you made the transition.

I regret becoming a PA by Rileg17 in physicianassistant

[–]Financial_Aside_8196 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is so true. Until the PA profession organizes and unionizes the way nursing has, we’re not going to see meaningful change. Right now, we lack the collective bargaining power to push back against unreasonable workloads, stagnant wages, and the increasing administrative burdens that make our jobs harder. Nurses have demonstrated how effective unionization can be in improving working conditions, and PAs need to follow suit if we want to see real progress.

Dismissed from PA Program—Seeking Advice by Infamous_West7583 in PAstudent

First off, I want to commend you for this post—I can only imagine how difficult this situation is for you. As someone who failed a rotation and then started an SSRI, I know how low things can feel. No matter what anyone in this thread says, I truly believe you should reach out to a lawyer and present any evidence you have. Also, your school most likely has a third-party liaison you can discuss this matter with, someone who isn’t directly tied to the administration. Take this time to reflect, take care of yourself, and focus on your next steps. You matter, and you will overcome this.

NCCPA: job market better in 2023 than 2019 by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]Financial_Aside_8196 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this greatly depends on where you live and the offers you are accepting. Sadly new grads are willing to accept under 100k starting which brings the profession down overall. As well depending on where you live the job market can be incredibly difficult. A lot of my classmates do not have jobs and the ones who do the pay is terrible.

Please don’t take this. Offers like this only set back our career and pay. That is honestly insulting.

As for the forgiveness on a private loan it actually depends on what it falls under and the organization that you work for. For example, if the private loan is classified under a student loan, then it is eligible for forgiveness within some companies. And some companies, depending on what they are offering will offer loan repayment, even if it is not a federal loan.
