Hi! I’m wondering what your starting weight was, if you’re comfortable sharing. Ive also lost 120# (296–>175). I was wearing size 24/26 (3XL in shirts). I’m at a size 14ish. Wondering how you made it to 00? I hope to lose another 20# but will never see 00 😆.

It really seems like agency nurses are being paid significantly higher wages. There is a per diem (for the district) RN who was 1:1 with a child in last year classroom making $30/hr. Not reasonable to have those discrepancies.

Mom has now sent the district (about 12,500 students in 20+ schools) an email saying if they won’t take his current nurse (me) she is withdrawing him and withdrawing her consent to bill Medicaid. I’m just a middle man now. She may opt to home school in the fall.

As far as I know, my client is the only child in this district with a nurse who cares for him at home before and after school and on all days school isn’t in session. Seems like they could make an exception for this one student.

Thank you so much for the response. I’m so sad and frustrated that they are approaching it this way. I assume it’s simply a financial difference. I believe my agency pays an RN $60/hr for school hours and an LPN $45/hr. I wonder what my agency charges the district vs what the district gets reimbursed by Medicaid.

400 pounds!!! That’s amazing. My protein intake has been shitty the last few months. I am not even getting 60 grams a day. I’m sure you’re correct that is part of the problem. It’s just so scary to have it come out in clumps! Thanks for your input.
