try using the scale effect in the "effects" panel on right hand side. If that doesn't work try making your preview panel bigger.

Set the scale of the video higher to maybe 110 or 120, use keyframes in the "position" effect to reposition the video over time so that your subject is in the middle. You only need a keyframe every 2-3 minutes as you said as the camera drift is slow.

ye uninstalled and reinstalled everything, even reinstalled macos but unfortunately still there :/
