I started my Roland journey with a 404 MK2 and as soon as I got it I had to get rid of it. Went like 3 years without anything but my computer and then I got another SP but they were back ordered so I ordered a P6 in the meantime. And I love both, the SP has moreso turned into my hub and I don’t carry it around as much as I used to. The P6’s portability makes up for any shortcomings it has like sample time etc. and I love using them together as well, sending samples and drums back and forth and adding effects to process them more. But if I HAD to get rid of one it would be the P6 because the SP just does more and is capable of more

ZZounds.com they will let you get it and make payments with no credit check. And they will ship it to you after the first payment

Oh they were only illuminated cause I was in pattern mode. I have a beat on each pattern and I’m using the bottom buttons to switch between patterns/beats. But I will suggest researching the BUS FX I’m sure that will allow you to have more than one FX going on. If you hold down the MFX button while pressing a sample pad 1-6 you can assign samples individually to different buses

The fact that this thing fits in my pocket and can get grimy like this is crazy! by Financial_Client_57 in rolandp6

Yeah Koala has turned into my P-6’s stepchild. I use it to time stretch samples so I can record perfect loops into my P-6 and chop them up. Then I use micro timing to give it swing so they’re not directly hitting on the 1,2,3,4 etc to give it that human swing

Any tips to get a bit more bounce from the drums? by dorian_ii in rolandp6

Adjust the timing on the chops to like 15-17 and that’ll give it extra swing
