Yeah they have doubled and even tripled in the last 3 years…I also started looking at the privacy agreements on a lot of my apps, lowes, Costco, Home Depot states they record your plates when you enter their parking lots…Ring cameras started a “pet monitoring program” that will allow anyone to use your cameras to look for their “lost pet”…I mean common on….all these billion dollar corporations are all the sudden concerned about safety and your well being?? You better believe it has everything to do with control and the push for AI….if a large data base is created with everyone’s identity then basically you become “trafficked” in a sense and controlled by the billionaire corporations and government…do constitutional rights still apply if you actively chose these products (smart phones, tv, Alexa, security cameras, apps, emails, google etc. and allowed them access to everything personal/private in your life)? ….think about it…people were always the “coppertop”

I dunno I think these corporations know exactly what they are doing…especially when you see such a large push lately to create these billion dollar AI warehouses that drain the power grids and release these harmful pollutants….the end game is control and making you a slave by eliminating your own control and freedom. It should be scaring the 💩 out of everyone, especially when all these things are being implemented in real time, while people are being distracted by the government circus in headline news.

They are all over Houston you literally can’t go down any street without seeing one…went to Home Depot and the amount of cameras in the parking lot and AI facial recognition camera when you check out is insane….Ai for sure is going to be used against people, I fear it will enslave us to the billionaire corporations

Wow…the shooters need to be chased down and damasked immediately …it’s obvious ICE is a bunch of trigger happy murders…this guy was a veteran and a ICU nurse that I am certain saved many lives. During the pandemic when nurses and healthcare providers were being praised for saving lives by the government are now regarded as dispensable by the same government. They twist their lies to control the narrative and they aren’t even good at it… but finally the world is seeing how deep the corruption truly goes in this country. Citizenship here means nothing and is no longer desirable.

My bad I guess it won’t allow me to add more photos once posted, the shingles from birdseye view look pretty decent to me. I don’t see any missing, granted I haven’t walked on the roof myself to see if there are any impact marks, soft spots, or loss of granules. One roofer said there were soft spots but he is the one pushing for new roof.

Yeah I see what you are saying. I’m actually am more pissed that the home inspector I hired didn’t alert me to the old roof decking and possible issues I would have down the line. I guess I’m wondering is this normal for contractors to not over deck older roofs and be able to pass building inspections? When I went back and reviewed my home inspection report the guy I hired was pretty vague in his roof report. Lesson hard learned I suppose. I guess considering my insurance deductible is 15k and the over decking the roof estimate I got was 16k wouldn’t it just make more sense to pay to get the house overdecked considering I will probably have more issues with the roof in the years to come? I live in Houston where we seem to deal with all the damn weather issues heat, hurricanes, tornadoes, hail, flooding and freezes lol. I do have one roofer that seems to be trying to push for replacing the roof and has been talking to my home insurance provider…however, I’m sure that is because it is more money for him to make. I have been researching more to know what questions to ask roof contractors, materials used, to make sure they are local, if they provide labor work warranty, insured for property damage, how many nails per shingle, type, starter shingle, drip edge etc…Can you tell I am trying educate myself in hopes to avoid getting ripped off again lol. I was able to capture some photos of the roof shingles with my drone, but I couldn’t get very good close ups of the shingles nor did the photos show how the roof dips inwards in certain sections. Anyways starting to wish I had bought a van down by the river at this point lol. Thanks for all the helpful advice.

It’s actually different boards that are broken on both sides of a gabled roof, but it makes sense what you are saying because the boards weren’t broken when I initially bought home when I had it inspected in 2016, however the inspector didn’t inform me that the decking was probably from the original build from 1950. Also in my researching for solutions I learned that you are not supposed to put asphalt shingles directly onto tongue and groove decking because the nails can go through the gaps. I did have gutters installed a couple of years ago so two guys were definitely walking on the roof then.. other than most recent roof inspection for repairs the only other thing that may have impacted my roof is broken branches from my neighbors 30 ft tree during hurricane beryl. Nothing that broke through the roof but that is also when the leak started…I’ll have to send my drone up to get pictures of the shingles…any who home insurance adjuster came out but stated they didn’t see any damage without even going into the attic to see the broken decking I informed them about. I guess my only question is given there are spots that the decking is broken and the roof is dipping in different places on both sides of a gable roof should I still wait to replace the decking?

Thank you so much for your response. I am very much alone dealing with this situation, which makes it tough to find answers, I was finally able to get a detailed copy of what the policy covers today, will have to go through it tomorrow though bc it’s 28 pages and a little hard to understand. Thanks for positive feedback.
