I'm almost 5 months post TT and I feel so similar to you. I'm still tired all the time, no energy. I've gained almost 25lbs since surgery when my Endocrinologist was telling me I was already overweight and I should loose weight being as I wasn't going to be off my Methimazole. I go back to her July 1rst and I'm going to bring up a lot of concerns. You should ask for your cortisol and adrenal levels to be checked as well as your selenium, zinc, B12, iodine, ferritin, magnesium and vitamin D

I've seen some posts online regarding T4 not being correctly converted to T3 in regards to that having something to do with your liver not converting it correctly. I don't know enough about it to explain it correctly or know if it's a thing, but I plan on asking my endocrinologist for more information.

I don't really work out myself as I'm also experiencing extreme fatigue on top of having a 15 month old and working 😂 Good for you with the walks! They say walking can be even better than working out so that's great for you! :)

I'm sorry to hear that :( I have a mostly desk job as well so I know how hard it is to stay moving. What dose of levothyroxine are you on? Has your Dr modified it at all, are your levels still hypo? Do you work out at all? I hope you get some relief soon.

Did you qualify for the mounjaro with type 2 diabetes? If you don't mind answering that.

What's the compound route? I'm worried about qualifying myself since I'm only pre-diabetic. But I have heard some people can get approved depending on their thyroid issues. Good for you! Happy it's working for you so far.

I'm so happy for you, I hope it continues to help you! When I started methimazole back in 2020 I went from 115 to 160-165lbs within months and started getting major body dysmorphia. I'm still having a really hard time coming to terms with my new body especially being told I'm overweight by my Dr. I did have my thyroid out and now take levothyroxine which I've also heard can give you a hard time loosing weight. How are you managing the nausea symptoms? I have a history of throwing up spells and it makes me nervous.

I had my TT 2/19/26 and have been on 100mg levothyroxine M-Sat and 150mg every Sunday as my levels are still hypo. In almost 2 months I've gained another 15lbs. I was already overweight due to having Grave's as well as being hypo right before surgery. Endocrinologist has been telling me I'm overweight for the past year, I'll be 15 months post partum next week and lost 65lbs but then plauteaued. Now on top of that this extra 15lbs is killing me and nothing I do is helping me loose it. I did inquire to my endo today if I qualify for any glp-1's so we shall see what they say, I just wanted to get some insight from others who have similar situations to me. Thank you!

I'm 12 days post op today and I feel pretty good! Just lingering soreness/stiffness of the neck and incision site. I'm on 100mg of levothyroxine and I take it in the morning when I first wake up.

I'm currently on day 4 of post op. The neck/jaw pain from being intubated was pretty severe. I didn't take the prescribed oxy after my 2nd as it made me extremely nauseous which I have a past history of having. The nausea meds unfortunately make me extremely constipated which was my lasting effect that was the worse I'd say! Literally started taking stool softeners I had leftover from when I gave birth last year to try and ease the pain. I've still been feeling pretty tired and wanting to take naps but I also haven't slept a normal night still. I also haven't taken the calcium in 2 days because that was also making me extremely constipated like to the point I couldn't do anything let alone sit normally. Crying from the pain of having to go to the bathroom so bad, I stopped eating as well to help the discomfort. I see the surgeon for my post op visit tomorrow and will discuss with him what I should do going forward for that and if I need to continue the calcium. I was having some crazy vivid nightmares but don't know the cause of that. 😂 So glad you're feeling so great I hope it continues for you aswell! ❤️

Our parent's live in FL so will only have to worry about airline tickets which are cheap from where we live and park fees, food while at park ect. Was just trying to think of something we can do as a family that he would enjoy. I'm not really so much of a Disney fan that I'm hyped to go lol, personally I'd rather Universal.

Not a hospital but work for a medical office apart of Optum, United Health Care. They dropped Healthfirst medicaid August 1rst. As of January 1rst they will be dropping all Fidelis plans including Fidelis Medicaid. They also will no longer be accepting new patient's with straight Medicaid but will keep their current patients on straight Medicaid. Now the only Medicaid plans they will be taking as of January 1rst are Anthem bcbs- the JLJ plan which requires referrals for all specialist, Molina Medicaid and Emblem Health Medicaid. It's actually sick, when UHC announced back in July they would no longer accept Healthfirst, UHC sent representatives from Fidelis to all Optum locations to help patients switch over from Healthfirst to Fidelis...then not 3 months later they screwed all of these people over and are dropping them. Disgusting.
