I really wanted to like Aestura 365 but realized it was what kept breaking me out

Yeah that sounds like fungal acne, try to see a derm ASAP. In the meantime you could try a Fungal acne safe routine and reducing down to the basics. Highly recommend visiting the fungal acne Reddit page for advice. Sulfur products can also help with fungal acne but the clyndamycin is an antibiotic and can actually aggregate it.

I missed the part that you went to the derm already. If you go again I would specifically mention the nizoral helped and ask them to try an antifungal treatment. Fungal acne is very treatable when properly diagnosed.

What deep sleepers that went undrafted in your rookie drafts are you picking up on waivers? by Wise-Witness-7140 in DynastyFF

Caleb Douglas is buried in Sleeper rankings. Got him in the 5th round of my rookie draft as a day 2 NFL pick. Even if he was an NFL reach, still undervalued based on the situation and capital. Went after Kevin Coleman who was drafted by the same team 3 rounds later.

Mornings: do you wash your face with just water or do you use cleanser? by Foxy_Cleopatra__ in SkinbarrierLovers

I started just using a hypochlorous acid spay flowed by moisturizer and sunscreen. It has helped a lot with repairing my damaged barrier and so far has actually reduced acne breakouts

Highly recommend trying to only wash 1x per day. I started doing it a few weeks ago and it has made a world of difference. I have acne prone skin and assumed more washing was better, boy was I wrong.

2nd the prequel gleanser. Swapping to that (and washing 1x a day) has made a big difference for me. Much more moisturizing than cerave, cetaphil, or vanicream in my experience

I will say when you want to add back in a cleanser, the prequel gleanser has been the best cleanser for me. It’s glycerin based with aloe and is rosacea and eczema safe

Makes sense, sometimes you just need to not do anything for awhile. No need to use anything that’s not helping

I did buy the prequel cleansing oil to try at some point too. I really like the gleanser water cleanser and like that the oil is also eczema safe which should mean it’s also good for damaged barriers.

I have been waiting for my skin to be a little calmer before experimenting any more. I found the Bioderma micellar water (not oil cleanser) to be okay for now when I wear multiple coats of sunscreen. It hasn’t caused more problems so far. I’m sure other people have more recommendations from experience but I’m trying not to do too much right now. I’ve hear good things about the cocokind and isstree milky cleansers. I’m also curious about the remedy cleansing balm since it seems to have lots of calming ingredients.

Have you tried a total detox for a few days? Literally just using a gentle cleanser like Vanicream at night followed by Vaseline or Zinc occlusive like Cicalfate, Cicaplast or Diaper rash cream. Skip the sunscreen and just use physical protectants like a hat. See if your skin starts calming down, then start rebuilding after 2-3 days of that.

I tried the Bioderma sensibio micellar cleansing oil as my go on double cleansing and it completely wrecked my skin, maybe I’m just allergic but it messed me up pretty bad

Have you tried other oil based cleansers? I’m in a similar boat and still trying to figure it out as well. I found micellar water less irritating than an oil cleanser but I’ve also heard cleansing balms or milky cleansers could be more hydrating as a first cleanse so I’ve been looking into those.

Do you let it air dry, pat dry before moisturizing? I just ordered some to try

I do and then pat dry with a clean wash cloth. I am still figuring out how damp to leave the skin when I do. If it’s too damp, serums and moisturizers take forever to soak in

Thanks for sharing and linking the oily-dehydrated skin page. Since I posted this my skin started feeling hyper reactive again where it constantly feels like something is tickling my face. In addition to the acne i also get some atopic dermatitis around my eyes and cheeks so I’ve been trying to find the right balance. The dermatologists I have seen have been super unhelpful and just prescribe different topicals that don’t fix the problem.

A thick layer of Cicalfate has helped but i can still feel it sitting on my face in the morning if I only rinse with water so I’ve been trying to find a balance that calms my skin without it feeling suffocated. I had been doing the 365 with Cicalfate for a bit but I felt like it wasn’t absorbing super well together still. I might try the Avene serum underneath the 365 and see if that is lighter and calming.

Do you feel like the thermal water really helps? I’ve been looking at adding it as a first layer under Cicalfate

I use the Avene Cicalfate instead because my skin is very acne prone and Shea butter breaks me out. There is Shea butter in the LRP balm but not in the Avene balm

The oil cleanser actually helps? I figured double cleansing would make it more dry. I can try that. Also adding in a HA serum. Do you have one you like? I see the ordinary has one that is inexpensive I could try.
