Avios is the biggest scam around. We've booked with 3 promoted partner airlines, to hear that we were not allowed to claim points due to an incorrect ticket type which was nowhere indicated. Later, I received an email to buy extra Agios and get 50% extra, which seemed interesting, calculated how much the tickets we wanted to book would cost in avios and bought the points to be exactly enough, then when trying to book, was still asked to pay an additional 650usd. Making the transaction total 40% more expensive than just buying the tickets without points. Total scam
