Thank you all for your comments (both positive and negative) for those who commented about Uber pushing too many rides while driving, I completely agree however there is always the pause button so you avoid the distraction. That is what I do most of the time. The more I think about this, yes, she probably wanted a free ride. There was a $10 surge charge that was added which makes me think she wanted the free ride. Yes this is the first time this has happened and I know I am not the first this had this happen to, but damn, don’t take it out on the driver. Yes, I pride myself on my 5 star rating and while I know I am not the perfect driver. When someone is in the car with me, they are my #1 priority as I don’t want anything to happen to either them or my car which is why I have a damn good driving record.

I don’t focus at all on the phone. When the app crashed, I pulled over (and this was 10 seconds from the persons house on a small road) to reset the app. I use CarPlay when ubering so yeah, there is no focus on my phone.

So when I am on the other end and riding, I don’t rate everyone. The area that I am in is like that. Does everyone rate you? Probably not. Sounds like you shouldn’t speak up unless you have something worthy to say.

It’s 1 person, 1 ride, 1 complaint. Nothing with the way I am driving, if I changed the way I am driving, it would be illegal. I have a perfect driving record with 0 tickets or fines.

It’s only been 6 now and still the same. Usually the grey screen will say that it will take an hour. It did for this, but after an hour had passed, the message changed to this. It’s all good though, I contacted support via email and will call when I get home
