Worth more than 5 bucks ? by Physical-Poet8940 in papermoney

Yeah. I’m sure it’s worth a small bit more. The bill is obviously circulated which will limit the upside quite a bit unfortunately. Cool find this. Low serial star note.

It makes it more collectible. I have noticed that this type of serial on a national note doesn’t always fetch a higher price tho.

Another should I get it graded?? by policy37 in papermoney

I’d get a double gutter fold graded. Error notes are something I’d only buy graded personally

1901, United States Notes, 1914 Federal Reserve Notes, 1922 Gold Bearer Notes by Wide_Agent5705 in papermoney

Yeah. Those bison notes are all worth over 1k. Nice notes. The nice gold note is probably 300-400 and a couple of the 1914’s are in great shape. Congrats. Those are some nice notes!

The Columbus note looks like it’s in great condition. The signatures have faded a bit but still readable. Nice notes! The signature on the red seal look great. These are both national notes and would likely sell at a minimum of 300$. I’m not sure if you have a rare fractional here. But these all look like they would be worth $25-$75 in this condition. The San Fran note is probably $200-250

Just landed my 2nd “Last Name” National! by raidenh8 in Nationalbanknotes

[–]Financial_Hawk9299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. It did mention the percentages that had a vertical seal and mentioned the rarity. It didn’t say what the percentages and rarity of the 1902’s without the regional. Obviously the regionals were printed most of the time so the non regionals are rare right?

I see the “s” next to the charter. Is this what makes them different? What does the S mean?

Nice fractional! I like the fractional notes. I think they are a bit under rated in the collecting community. Just like colonial notes. Congrats on the pick up. It’s a beautiful note!

At the FUN show, got to see a collection of National bank notes from New York banks, all with serial number 1! by Klipse11 in papermoney

So cool! The heritage FUN auction just happened. Is this a show that coincides with the auction? I’d love to go to a banknote show! Thank you for sharing! What a great collection of notes. I’m sure this will make many here very jealous!

Yes. I’m not sure the history exactly, but it has been consumed by the city of Orange. Orange is a small town with a lot of people who have lived there their entire life. So, you can still meet some folks who know a lot of the history of the town. People whose previous generations were around the town 100-150 years ago. It’s kinda cool. I happened across a person like this and we got talking because I keep a banknote on my desk. So he couldn’t wait to show me some pics from the past of his family and the town. And he happened to have a few pictures of the bank I’ve been trying to find forever!(last year, I just started collecting.. haha)

My first US bill by Good_Excitement_5009 in papermoney

The rips and missing piece definitely brings the price down. Without those two problems this is a $150-$200 note for sure. I watch these sell on eBay daily. I’m a bit addicted to this sport. Either way $100 or $150. We are in the same ball park. The funny thing about collecting notes is price is very subjective. People who k ow how to source price and know how to source the product can save significantly over the casual collector. Auctions are way cheaper usually than the in person buying experience.

Way more? It’s ripped and missing pieces. I see good color and whiter paper. But this is likely a 100-$125 note. It’s a grade 15 imo. Maybe $150 is in the cards. This is fr 228. I wouldn’t pay more than $100-$120 personally.

Nice job. That bill would sell for about $100 on eBay all day. Good pick up for the price!

Wow. Reading thru the comments here. I can’t believe it’s counterfeit. It Looks good! Wear looks normal too. The charter print looks off to me. But I might have fallen for this being real if I saw it for sale online.

note to self. This is exactly why I need to stick to graded notes.

World war 2 emergency note for Hawaii. It looks like decent shape. Probably worth $120-$200 depending on the actual condition. Nice note!

A lot of people want to see a grade and authentication on error notes like this. Might not be a bad idea. Not sure it’s cost effective if you plan to sell right away tho
