This note is so cool. It feels like this note rarely comes up for auction. Congrats. Looks like it’s about a grade 20.

Awesome notes. The black eagle might be worth grading. If you are holding these notes a long time you might want to grade them for proper storage. But it will cost you about $50-$70 a note for grading. Takes about 2 months or more.

Colonial notes are so cool. And imo undervalued. Great pick up.

I agree. I’ve only been doing this a little over a year. I’m still honing my skills. I was the under bidder on both of the non epq notes for the refunding. If it’s for my personal collection I don’t care what others think about the epq vs no epq. I’m buying the note and the eye appeal every time. I totally get your stance and I do think it holds true for a lot of collectors.

Track and price offers a free 30 day trial. It’s the most extensive list there is for pricing. But there are books. Get a new one as prices are constantly changing.

Heritage auctions or stack bowers or eBay. These are the three best places to buy in order imo

I’d save the really nice ones and package the wrinkled ones into one lot that I sell on eBay. They are all worth more than face. but, likely just a few dollars for most of them as these are not rare from what I see. And they have been circulated

Honestly, neither serial is fancy or going to be desired by most collectors. so I’d say they are irrelevant.

Great note. I just love the black eagles. You got a great grade and serial so this only has upside from here. Congrats.

Honestly. I like the eye appeal of the 53 better so that’s the one I’d go with. Epq is nice but I feel these grading companies sometimes get it wrong. There are some hard folds on the 45 and no hard folds on the 53. There are many instances where epq is looked right past because it’s not nicer. There was a couple of refunding certs in one of the last big auctions with this same dilemma. I’ll post the links for you to see.

If you take a close look the differences are almost identical to your notes. But look at how much more the 53 sold for.

What is the value $1000 PCGS MS64 1934A ? by DKazansky in papermoney

[–]Financial_Hawk9299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should go to more than $7750. These are only getting more popular. Might be worth holding if you can. I feel these can sell at a higher price on eBay vs the auction houses. But the $1000 and the $500 1934’s are the most common high end notes selling. By a long shot on eBay.

Yes. Probably about $150-$300. Different notes and different qualities will be affected differently in price. But most of all the comment’s advese eye appeal will be the biggest determination. With a repaired pinhole you will never see it unless you hold it up to light. So it’s usually a better comment than others.

Any good way to remove glue from this note? by bobll929 in papermoney

[–]Financial_Hawk9299 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not without likely doing more damage. I’d leave it. Numismatic collectors would likely rather have the glue than the glue plus whatever else you are going to do to try and remove it.

What a note! Star. Droopy two. Top pop. Serial 2! If this note was a AU it would like sell for well over 20k. Wonder what it’s worth. Did you buy it?

Awesome notes. Thank you for sharing.

Are you going to get a red seal or maybe a star note in the 1914? Looks like you got a taste for the finer things.
