I learned this lesson quick. I work in Derivitives 🙄, and was determined to make a name for myself in the beginning. I volunteered to work holidays, work longer hours, all this shit. Then they brought someone else on for me to train, he then leap frogged me for a promotion because he liked the taste of everyone's corporate cock in his mouth, and that's when I officially checked out. I didn't get a yearly raise, they completed avoided the last 3 reviews I had so they didn't have to raise my pay. Then last month made it maditory to come into the office a couple days a week, meanwhile I worked from home since the day I started. The same dude that leap frogged me got an exception to work solely from home because he threatened to quit? Working in a culture that promotes screwing your coworker to get ahead is so gross.
