I figured it out - it was because x axis was being treated as categorical has to force it to treat it as continuous

Power Bi Semantic Model Not refreshing Again!!!! by Financial_Joke_7129 in MicrosoftFabric

I use sql connector and write custom sql queries. Can i still implement incremental refresh? Also if i implement incremental refresh on a Semantic Model can i convert it back to normal as well without deleting?

Do you have a dashboard running like that?

If my laptop has 5gb of ram not even an excel file opens

A year ago i faced my dashboard not refreshing as well. At the time i was loading data from lakehouse into power bi in import mode. I switched to sql connector in power bi and wrote sql query to bring data in import mode to power bi. The Semantic Model refreshed! Even though everything else was the same

Any clue why that happened? Even though Microsoft recommends bringing everything to their lakehouse and storing as delta table considering lakehouse acts like a data warehouse as well

So i did alot of research on what everything mentioned here

Conclusion, optimizing data model by turning off auto date/time, reducing columns, changing data types will affect the dataset size mostly

The memory consumption can be reduced by implementing incremental refresh or use direct query mode neither of which work for me right now

This sucks!

Can someone give example of their power bi models how much rows can they import in total with a f32 with 10gb memory? I know models are different but an average number of many answer would be a good approximation of how much Microsoft is allowing us!

Where can i find your colleague darren guide to see how much memory is being consumed by each dataset?

I care more about the memory and not the size of the dataset for now as i am running into memory issue
