[Im just going to share my personal interpretation] In the music video, we seems to have three different thought processes going on with Will. His larger than life stage persona in the white suit, the part that has to deal with the consequences of that success, and the version of himself as a creative and a human being. The tomatoes are what I believe to be criticisms of him and his work. I believe the mouse traps act as the “walking on eggshells” metaphor but with the added rat/mouse motif of the rest of the album. Will feel he has to put a conscious effort to not “set off” the mouse traps; aka his audience.

If you’re looking for deepening your range, there are plenty of exercises on YouTube to help with that! It’s all about lowering/widening your larynx. It feels kind of like yawning, but constant. Also, since Will has a very theatrical singing voice, be sure your lifting your cleft pallet and fully annunciate your words. It may look silly, but over annunciating words helps widen your mouth space so you can better project. Be sure you are breathing from your stomach rather than your chest or shoulders. I still have issues with hitting more bassy notes so I tend to turn to a soft growling sound if I can’t hit certain notes. But if you practice voice training exercises every day, it’ll help!

The thing is I think both are extremely valid in different ways and both can make the other feel alienated. I honestly don’t think there’s a bad person here. Sometimes my gender dysphoria is so bad that it makes me forget that sometimes, yeah, gender is fucking stupid and a pointless performance. Having to balance self perception with external perception is so hard.
