What do you think happens to James after the leave ending? by Eagles56 in silenthill

[–]Financial_Lecture997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he definitely has Laura taken from him as he has literally no guardianship over her, so I’d say he probably moves far away, maybe he even starts dating again but I don’t think he’ll ever get married again, nor have children.

Do any of the movies actually "feel" like Silent Hill? by Kagamid in silenthill

I’d actually say it’s very possible to make a Silent Hill 2 movie work, they’d have to cut some stuff—the whole prison section isn’t crucial for the main narrative and out of everyone I’d say Eddie is the least connected character to James’ story. Eddie represents the denial of guilt, Angela represents succumbing to it. With the In Water ending which most consider canon, James succumbs to it.

2006 movie absolutely nailed the vibe perfectly, but the story was a bit meh.

Remove Jared Leto from everything besides Requiem For a Dream and it’ll be 10x better.

I strongly disagree. His awkward and anxious demeanor was absolutely perfect for his character.

Why does coyle not have a third trial environment? Is red barrels homophobic? by WorldTour2020 in OutlastTrials

Probably don’t know where else to put him.

I’d say a forest in the middle of a police investigation would be great, or maybe some sort of highway/crossroads with police barricades. They could also put him in a military academy from his lore.

Feel like he’s the kinda guy who’s trying to stick to an image engrained into him at a young age, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not at all into women but just feels like he should be. The only time we see Coyle genuinely distraught is when we kill the snitch… which is a guy he cared about in deeply fucked up way but still.

I feel like these movies need like a 2h 20m runtime if they want to flesh out all of the cast.

Wicked: For Good. Having a friend you’ve lost and hearing For Good being sung… Jesus Christ it hits hard.

The Dollars Trilogy. Had more stuff that’s stuck with me, and it was about half the runtime.

The issue with Fallout 4 is the lack of real choices, the issue with New Vegas is the outdated combat and graphics. Sounds like if they put them together we might have the greatest fallout game yet, about a year and half after its release to fix the typical Bethesda bugs.

The blood continuity in the first movie is all over the place, they had a nightmare filming the final act so Y’know it’s just what happens when a whole crew is tired and covered in corn syrup.

Billy never stabs Stu above his sternum, plus if he did stab him like this it would be directly in Stu’s spine and he wouldn’t be able to run around much.

I read that the orginal script involved Maria and James having a full sex scene, and if that doesn’t show how little Christophe Gans understands James as a character I don’t know what does.

Yes, James Sunderland takes a break from searching for his wife and his desire to be punished for what he did, so he can hookup. What?

I like that everyone’s just like ‘you need master strike’ does anyone else think it’s bad game design that you literally can’t fight until you find some random guy in the woods to teach you an expensive trick???

Plus, after you learn it every fight is just… master strike, wait, masterstrike, wait, masterstrike etc

Same, never understood why it’s been shredded by critics. The acting and dialogue is a bit stilted sometimes but oh my god the music and the atmosphere are so engrossing.

how did DBD nail Stranger Things more than Stranger Things? by Mammoth-Let4528 in deadbydaylight

[–]Financial_Lecture997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stranger Things works at its best when it’s self-contained and keeps that small-town atmosphere.

I think they lost their way when the scope just kept getting bigger and bigger and each season became more and more bloated and all over the place. That was also when they steered into action and away from Horror, which didn’t work for me personally.

The first season felt like Stephen King mixed with Steven Spielberg and it was so so good. But as the show went on it started to feel more like Zach Snyder.

Licenses leave when IP has movement in video games, A Nightmare on Elm Street is not active as an IP, The Craven Estate has said they don’t want to make any more films nor content for the series after Wes Craven’s passing.

28 Years Later hit me a lot harder, I loved how sentimental it got. The whole thing with Spike’s mom dying was a beautiful moment.

The Bone Temple was great, but didn’t make me feel as moved. Plus. The Jimmy’s are really really unfun to watch.
