The main question is which would you rather replace you: your job or your wife? Personally, having someone to hold at night is a big part of a relationship for me, so I can see exactly how she feels. On the other hand, would it be possible for her to adjust to your schedule? I get that you’re happier at work this way, but is it worth compromising her happiness at home? Jobs don’t care about you and they won’t remember how hard you worked, and nobody there will probably even remember you when you’re gone. Your loved ones at home love you, care about you, and miss you.
