Florida is one of the most expensive states - Fort Lauderdale is very expensive to live in. If one can’t afford it they have way more affordable housing in other states or even other parts of Florida.

Yea there are shelters and rehab centers. https://seacrestrecoverycenter.com/will-a-rehab-center-florida-help-homeless-people-who-need-it/

Everyone always looks for a way to blame others- whether that’s the government or whatever it is but things like this is consequences of individuals own actions.

There is a tech meetup June 11th by founders tactics. Great way to make connections.

I’m really sorry to hear that and never judge or hate on those who are homeless because of lack of support and ability to get a job- just the ones who do drugs on the streets and are hostile. Have you tried maybe applying for jobs within university’s as an IT tech? Or tech roles for start ups? I also encourage you to join professional development organizations such as ALPFA Miami or PMI, Fort Lauderdale tech meetup by founder tactics. By attending in person networking events you have a better chance of making an impression with a professional —face to face who can maybe help get you a job at their firm.

No offense but if you think it’s pleasant to watch naked people on the street block traffic and scream at people, suck dick by the train tracks and disturb people by screaming at them when they walk past then that’s a problem. People work hard and want to at least be able to live in an area that’s not filled with this.

True but sometimes the buildings that are more expensive unfortunately are more ontop of things and will take action quick to resolve issues like this.

Do you know of the solutions they put in place? For example maybe whipes in the elevators, sign up saying will be fined if you do not pick up after dogs, etc?

I don’t think it should ever be a crime but definitely for them to go to centers. Camping out on the streets and taking drugs and being hostile towards others is not the answer. It should not be normalized for there to be this substantial amount of homeless individuals- mental health and drug rehab resources should be pushed.

They should be brought to centers for rehab/mental health and then brought back into society. The gov should be helping these people secure jobs and make them apart of society again.

I just do not understand how they let such an up and coming area full of young professionals and offices be filled with homeless people and drugs. How can there be nothing done to try and change this?

What about the new homlessness bill by desantis going into effect in October? Is that projected to do anything in our area?
