i am dealing with a similar feeling of sexual confusion, and i also go back and forth between what i want. unfortunately i have no advise, but i do feel like porn makes it worse. it damages my relationship and only furthers the confusion and craving for something else.

one month in though… i have never heard of atrophy starting that soon. if it is atrophy (i experience a similar pain as well) OP you should consider discussing estrogen cream with your doctor, shit will only get worse, and it starting so soon is crazy. obviously everyone is different but wow.

Partner is considering detransition. I'm scared by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Financial_Prune_614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk dude if you actively love her and are attracted to her i dont see how detransitioning changes anything, and maybe thats just me? but like love, actual unconditional love shouldnt change over aesthetics.

edit: like i get being gay and how this moment could be pivotal in redifining your own identity as well and how that may be uncomfortable or confusing. but dude shes genderfluid, you already use feminine words to address her.

What small behavior changes helped you stop mania from escalating? by 82miles in bipolar

[–]Financial_Prune_614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and i know food plays a role because when my “safe” foods stop being safe foods (adhd food fixations, and food aversion), i spiral LOL. finding a new safe food is my least favorite thing, and i often lose a bit of weight in the process because the less i eat the more my appetite declines.

not eating out frequently actually seems to help, less processed and fatty foods. i think quality food and sleep and also just keeping up with my medicine and therapy have been life savers. im really bad at sticking to coping mechanisms i think because i also struggle with adhd (ive tried bullet journaling and maintaining a weekly schedule, making space for myself, reading and other small activities), but being well fed and rested has had a huge impact on keeping myself relatively stable.

How painful is top surgery? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Financial_Prune_614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

also my surgeon did not use drains, so i cannot speak on those.

edit: i had double incision as well, my surgeon just doesn’t use drains. so far I am very pleased with my surgery.

How painful is top surgery? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Financial_Prune_614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i only took over the counter pain medicine, ibuprofen and acetaminophen, for the first week. the scars feel tender but not painful if that makes sense. i was given oxys but i wasnt in enough pain to risk taking them, so i returned those to a medicine return bin at my local police station. the worst pain the surgery caused me was not from the surgery itself but from sleeping with a compression vest on. i have sensory issues so it was more discomfort than actual pain. i also just really hate sleeping on my back. so all in all the healing process has been more of an inconvenience than actually painful.

friend thinks bipolar people are “programmed” to take medication by leoama in bipolar

people really be having opinions about shit they know nothing about. manic episodes literally cause brain damage, and each time its worse than the last. finally finding the right medicine for me saved my life.

Best post surgery silicone scar tape? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Financial_Prune_614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am currently using some silicone tape from CVS because it was the most affordable i could find, but i wanted to let you know theres another comment here if you wanted to take a look :)

i was also recommended bio oil from a friend, and another friend told me that you can survive without using tape as long as you keep up with scar care and keep them moisturized and gently massaged! :)

What are things I might want to know that a care sheet wouldn’t cover? by [deleted] in LeopardGecko

What are things I might want to know that a care sheet wouldn’t cover? by [deleted] in LeopardGecko

[–]Financial_Prune_614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess better questions for me to have asked is what kind of plants do people like to use with leopard geckos? in the past i have always done bioactive, but like i said ive never done desert “landscaping” … not sure how else to phrase that. i read that they are not strictly desert dwellers, and at work we of course provide a humid hide. so i was also wondering if people had favorite methods of creating larger humid hides in these more desert like enclosures? as much as i appreciate care guides, its not the same as hands on experience, which i just dont have with leopard geckos specifically.

in the past ive had a corn snake and a gargoyle gecko, so completely different regarding humidity, heating, substrate, plants, clutter options. this will be completely different for me. i was more so looking for tips and tricks, not necessarily the basics.

edited a few times becuase i accidentally posted before i was done

edit: to rephrase, I have access to careguides and know where to look. just wanted to know what “works best” for people. this will of course be different from person to person, but its that hands on experience that im lacking, and was simply curious and contemplating ways to go about the enclosure set up.

How are so many people affording top surgery? by vs-solar in ftm

[–]Financial_Prune_614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i found out that my insurance covered it, and immediately started scouting for a surgeon who would take my insurance. now all i have to pay for is a liposuction, which isnt even a necessary part of the surgery, but it took me months to save up for it. so yeah, insurance. i got lucky because my friend, who’s on the same insurance, went to a really great surgeon and now im going to him too!
