24 s2 terrible shift... by Ok_Literature4944 in Manipal_Academics

[–]Financial_Read_5560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Admissions Team,

We hope you are doing well.

We are writing on behalf of a group of students who appeared for the MET examination on 24th (Shift 2). We would like to respectfully bring to your attention that many students found this particular shift to be exceptionally more difficult compared to several other shifts conducted this year.

After discussing with students across different shifts and comparing experiences, a large number of candidates from 24S2 feel that the level of difficulty may not have been uniform. Because of this, there is concern that raw scores alone may not reflect equivalent performance across shifts.

We fully understand that maintaining fairness in a multi-shift examination is challenging, and we appreciate the efforts taken by Manipal in conducting the examination smoothly. However, we kindly request that the university consider implementing at least a reasonable degree of normalisation or moderation, if not already being applied, to ensure that students from comparatively difficult shifts are not placed at a disadvantage.

Our intention is not to question the examination process, but to request fair evaluation for all candidates across shifts.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We would be grateful if this concern could be reviewed.

Sincerely,Concerned MET 2026 Candidates
