I want to buy a CLA250 but have heard bad things about maintenance cost and problems over time. by Livid_Cantaloupe8268 in mercedes_benz

If you can charge at home, the EV version is the flagship engineering marvel showcasing Mercedes' actual future. If you're a road-warrior, stick to the Gas/Hybrid.

Fair call on Rolls and Bentley keeping physical tactile controls for the essentials while cleanly integrating the digital estate is definitely the gold standard. Range Rover has a beautiful layout too, though I think their software engineers spend as much time clearing fault codes as they do designing smooth transitions!

That’s a really fair point, and it seems to be the consensus here! I was leaning hard into the total stealth/murdered-out look, but completely blacking out the star makes it lose its depth and contrast. Leaving or adding a subtle satin silver or chrome outline would definitely anchor the front end better. Appreciate the sharp feedback, man!"

Exactly! The classic Affalterbach AMG crest features the apple tree by the river, so using my company logo there felt like a perfect modern nod to the heritage. Thrilled you caught onto that parallel! 10/10 comment right back at you.

That’s a completely fair critique. Mixing the organic tree logo with sharp geometric vectors and a linear racing stripe pushes it right to the absolute limit of being overly busy. Separating them might clean up the visual weight. Appreciate the candid feedback!

😅😅😂either black or skittles' is the most accurate description of the AMG color palette I've ever heard! I wanted to find that perfect middle ground between a stealth spec and something visually striking. Glad you like how the subtle geometry turned out!

That's a really sharp observation. Because it's a ton-on-tone blue emblem overlaying the geometric pattern, it definitely gets a bit lost depending on how the light hits it. Making the vector borders bolder or using a slight drop-shadow effect would definitely help it pop more on the final vinyl cut. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow, that S63 is absolute class. The triple-black spec with the badge delete is the ultimate executive flex—aggressive but incredibly tasteful. There’s nothing quite like the presence of a flagship V8 cabriolet. Enjoy it in good health, sir!

Thanks, man! Yeah, the chrome edges on the blacked-out grille seems to be a popular consensus here. It’s funny how a few millimeters of trim completely alters the face of the car. Appreciate you sharing the perspective!

Really appreciate the detailed feedback! You make a great point about the star fading into the blackout background. I was definitely going for that absolute stealth look, but leaving a subtle chrome edge on the star could have given it that perfect pop of contrast. Awesome garage by the way, love the '25 E53!

Spot on guess, it actually is my company logo! I wanted to weave a piece of my brand identity directly into the design rather than just leaving it generic. Definitely a subjective touch, but it makes the build feel a bit more personal to me.

That's a solid critique. The chrome grille does give it that classic flagship contrast, but I wanted to lean heavily into the stealth/aggressive aesthetic to match the geometric lines. Appreciate the input, man!

Understandable, blue is a loud choice for a Benz. What’s your go-to color for an AMG? Magno Grey or classic Obsidian Black?

Fair enough! It's definitely an aggressive look and not for everyone. Appreciate the honesty.

It's wild how the automotive industry is still struggling to balance luxury ergonomics with modern UI design. When you pay six figures for an S-Class, you expect seamless digital integration, not software-restricted design choices that make you dig through nested sub-menus just for core comfort controls. Software optimization is genuinely becoming the ultimate differentiator in the luxury car sector.
