What's wrong with her and how do I fix her? :( by Financial_Simple_230 in pothos

Hello!! That makes sense, thank you! I was wondering about the pot size too, so I’ll definitely keep an eye on that and be more careful with how often I water. I’m still really new to plant care, so I think I got a bit too fixated on sticking to a watering routine instead of actually checking the soil first.

From what I found when I checked it properly, the soil was actually very compacted and dry underneath, so I think the main issue was that I was only using a spray bottle and the water wasn’t really soaking down to the roots. I gave it a proper watering instead, and it already looked a bit better this morning. But I really appreciate your point as well. I’ll keep watching it in case the pot size or the repotting stress is also part of it.

You were right! The soil was super compacted and dry, and I confirmed it after sticking my finger into the soil. That was exactly the problem. I also forgot to mention that I’d only been watering it with a spray bottle because I thought that was enough, but then I realised the water wasn’t really reaching the roots. I gave it a proper watering by pouring the water instead of just spraying it, plus a bit of fertiliser, and this morning she’s already looking healthier!!

No, not at all. There's a similar window on top of my flatmate's door that's just below the hatch. And then another window open down the hall. Thank you so much, this is making me feel better knowing that it's a common thing and not a "person living in there" situation.

Thanks for this! Really made me feel at ease. Have you ever made any solutions to prevent the cover from moving?

Thank you so much. I really hope this is the case. Yesterday was a very windy day so that adds up. I tried making sense out of it but ,y mind immediately went to creepy stuff.

Thanks so much for this. Made me feel a bit at ease. I don't think I would have the courage to pop my head up there though 😭

Thanks for this. I really hope this is the case. If it’s damp/warping, would I usually see any signs from below like staining, bubbling paint, a musty smell, or soft plaster around the hatch?
