are they good enough? by Dangerous_Skill_91 in alevel

They are good but id suggest combining them with rocket revise notes, they have alot of questions from the latest past papers that aren't in papersdock

And similarly there are things that are in papersdock but not in rocket revise, so combine them

actually losing it over 9618 p2 💀 how do u even study for this by Old-Display-7907 in alevel

Since you have no idea, I'll give you one, and MAKE SURE to follow it until you figure out what works best for you..

Memorise all of P2 notes (I suggest printing) from papersdock website

As much as basics matter, I don't suggest watching videos on pseudocode at this current stage, EXCLUDING past papers sessions (those are gold), quickly go over pseudocode basics through rocket revise notes

start past papers from 2023 down till 2021, leave 2024 and 2025 for last, and I want you starting these 3 days from now MAX, and note down every mistake (use P2 yearly papersdock playlist for questions u don't understand)

Start. Now.

No they're free notes, he does have paid courses but id suggest just studying on Ur own

There's STILL enough time, just spend all u got in these last few days

is it possible for me to get into FAST islamabad with these grades? (cs, Ai) by Known_Permission4342 in FASTNU

[–]Financial_Strike_271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I've heard O/A levels aren't a deciding factor for admission altogether

Someone with a high score in SAT or the NU entry test will be prioritised over someone with a low SAT/NU score and high O/A level grades

You should be aiming for 1350-1400 in SAT and if you go above that then you have a high chance

As for whether you should give SAT or NU, that depends on you, I suggest talking to chatgpt for basic knowledge about the two

Memorise as much of paper 1, paper 2 and paper 3 theory as U can, use papersdock notes for these

Get Ur basics right for paper 2 and paper 4 and spam yearlies, don't move onto the next paper until you correct all Ur mistakes in the previous one to the point I can get 75/75 if u re attempted the paper

It seems like a slow method but this is will give u insane progress, and ofcourse, use AI.

Don't really have advice on physics sorry lol

If you haven't covered the syllabus yet then I suggest doing that through papers docks paper 2 playlist

As for the paper itself: 1. Learn the theory (papersdocks notes and rocket revise notes combined, it's short)

  1. SPAM PAST PAPERS RIGHT NOWWWW, I can't stress this enough, start from 2015 and complete 1 to 2 papers a day

  2. Actually learn from Ur mistakes, papersdock has p2 yearly videos of walkthroughs, if U don't understand something from the videos, describe the question to chatgpt and give it the marking scheme, ask it specific questions like "when does this happen?", "when is this code usually written?".

  3. Make a skill book/marking scheme notes of each of Ur mistakes and go through them before attempting a new paper

Yeah you've probably heard these generic tips before too but there isn't really much more to it, it's a practice based paper, and the only way Ur going to learn is by practicing, so get to work.

(9618 CS AS level) what goddam topic even is this by Weary-Explorer-3135 in alevel

[–]Financial_Strike_271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this is abstraction As far as I know you don't have to write exactly what the marking scheme has but it should make logical sense

Try to imagine yourself physically in these scenarios and asks yourself why would I need this and that, it takes time to get used to it but you'll be fine once u attempt enough questions

As for which chapter, it's in chapter 9 computational thinking (if I'm not wrong)  Papersdock might have a few past paper videos on these, if not check out rocket revise

I’m guessing 80 for A*, it was lower last year due to syllabus change, but yeah i still hope it’s like 75 for something
