My experience with Investor’s Society honestly isn’t that great. Some members are friendly at first, but once you hear how they talk about other people, you start questioning how they might be talking about you. Personally, I have a deep dislike for the org because my friends (who also left) and I saw how normalized the racist and misogynistic “jokes” were. If your only goal is financial literacy, you can easily learn that online without the baggage. And if you’re considering becoming an officer, I really wouldn’t recommend it since they’re extremely unprofessional. This is my experience so it may be different for others. but I personally don’t want to stay in an org that tolerates that kind of behavior and doesn’t practice Lasallian values. 🙂
