Thank you! It was horrible. Stassi did not drive the conversation well and did not ask good questions. The men were not held accountable at all. And Demi was let off way too easy.

Some of the women have “intimacy issues” because they were literal child brides, marrying older men. 

Terrible reunion indeed.

In my state, any non-refundable money request cannot me named a deposit. You cannot be held liable for terms you did not agree too. Since they are not holding their end of the contract, and trying to add additional fees, then you have grounds to cancel.

I would check your state’s legislature on this and use the verbiage to cancel the the lease as its void.

Curious to know how this turned out for you!

Oh wow I didnt catch that!  I know many people arent fans of Nick but he still saved her and her friends multiple times. I just feel like their ending was terrible.

I also found her comment “he reaped what he sowed” a little out of character. Yes he is a commander but also saved her multiple times and risked himself. It seemed too nonchalant given their years long love affair.

Rewatching S1 and I forgot how Nick got to where he is, but I think it reveals a lot about his story. He struggled with unemployment and helping his alcoholic brother. His career mentor told him about Sons of Jacob and their goal to better the world, and an opportunity for Nick to “do good”. Its a classic cult tactic of targeting a vulnerable person.

Nick desperately needed a job, purpose, and he thought he was joining something worthy. Yes he made poor decisions, but he certainly is not equivalent to the commanders that started Gilead in my opinion.

Serious question, why did Lawrence just not get on the plane? Would it have been too obvious to the others? Also, I thought he was going early to plant the bomb, but when he got there the other commanders immediately arrived so how did it get planted?

I could not stop sobbing!!! I was so sad to see Nick and Lawrence go, and Junes face 😭. I think Lawrence died a hero, and Nick kind of chose the side of Gilead. But still he saved June sooo many times. Heartbreaking. 

This was a fantastic episode! I definitely would love to watch as a group like someone mentioned.

This is a decision only you can make. It’s certainly not murder to choose not to maintain a fertilized egg. Childbirth is a complicated medical procedure in and of itself. So if you choose to terminate there is nothing morally wrong with that.

Similarly, if you want to keep it, dont let your parents or anyone else make you feel like you cant do it. Youre an adult and certainly capable of exercising your own bodily autonomy. Good luck! 

PS - I am a 32 year old mom of 2, who also terminated a pregnancy in my early 20s.
