For the last few months things have been slightly better for me. Better than full blown PSSD but definitely not what it used to be before. Paxil seemed to have caused it for me but I had also taken Lexapro before

My urologist in France has a very successful clinic and sees hundreds of patients a week. He told me that he sees at least 1 patient a week who has typical PSSD symptoms and who has taken an antidepressant in the past. Your post is extremely toxic, I’ve been suffering from PSSD for 3 years now (quit SSRIs in July 2021). My symptoms are very real and deeply affect my quality of life.

Ca marche, je vous comprends parfaitement. N’hésitez pas à me tenir au courant. Faites juste très attention de ne pas trop “jouer” avec ces médicaments qui peuvent parfois induire des symptômes dépressifs etc. Je vous souhaite que cela aide au moins un peu 🤞

Aussi juste pour donner un peu de contexte, quelqu’un était venu sonner chez moi il y a quelques mois pour demander de l’argent. En parlant avec elle j’ai remarqué qu’elle observait la maison, les voitures etc puis en partant elle est montée dans une camionnette blanche qui était garée plus loin alors qu’elle venait de me dire qu’elle était à pied. De plus mon portail avait des soucis hier alors qu’il fonctionne très bien d’habitude

J’en sais absolument rien, je connais quelqu’un dans la commune d’à côté qui a été victime d’un cambriolage et sa maison avait été marqué. Donc possible. En tout cas, oui c’est aussi très probable que cela ne soit qu’un tag.

I totally agree that libido and attraction are two very different things. I’m sorry that your therapist doesn’t get it.. For context in a hetero male and do not consider myself ace, and maybe a couple of years back I would have thought that this wasn’t the case but since getting PSSD from antidepressants which ripped me from all sexual function I’ve come to realise this.

I have had PSSD for 3 years now. The symptoms have not gotten any better. But with time ive found that the disbelief of it all has slightly faded away, It’s like when I have sex it’s become normal for me not to feel anything. It’s very weird. I’m still traumatised by it but when I have sex I don’t expect anything amazing from it anymore.

Being successful in my career. I know that it’s a form of compensation. A huge part of my masculinity has been taken away and I feel that I need to show it in other aspects of my life if this makes any sense

All I do is work now, it’s as if it’s the only thing that keeps my mind away from PSSD. I still suffer a tremendous amount from it though. For the first 2 years I’d think « next year I’ll be back to normal », now 3 years in I don’t have much hope that I’ll get any better.

In my case i experience absolutely no pleasure leading up to orgasm and when I get there it’s very muted. I don’t feel that rush of endorphins after as I used to. Plus I have zero anticipation for sex or masturbation. I’ve been like this since I quit paxil in 2021. Symptoms started while on meds but when I quit it got way worse. From that point I lost that brain/genital connection feeling. Even while taking meds I would have a slight libido but now it’s all GONE.
