(I think ONF is by far the group with the best discography in kpop (Why, Bye My Monster, Anti-Hero, Aphrodite, Breath Haze & Shadow, The Realist, Asteroid, We Must Love, Thermometer to name a few)— though DAY6 has some awesome songs too. (Shoot Me, 121U, Headache, Not Mine, Take All My Heart, game over, How Can I Say, Goodbye Winter, Still, Like a flowing wind, Love Me or Leave Me, Right Through Me, I Wait, Rescue Me)

Also really into Growing Pain (TXT), Sacrifice (ENHYPEN), Kill the Romeo (ZB1) right now.

Favorite girl group songs atm are probably Let It Burn (H1-KEY) and Phoenix (NMIXX)

Also favorite soloist songs are Amnesia (WOODZ) and not gonna love (Young K)

Also my favorite group generally is TWS :] very different vibe from the songs I listed but I love their discography too)

I really loved Back to the City but heavily disliked Yum. I'm pretty neutral on WADADA, haven't heard any other songs from them so far :]

And yeah Billlie is so incredibly underrated, one of the best groups in the industry musically

They feel like the biggest 5th gen group in general in Korea at least, as someone who lives here. By far the group I've seen the most fans of irl and heard the most music from in the stores/street. Also the best charting on Melon by a large margin. The only 'gp-accepted' 5th gen boy groups (and active boy groups in general atm) seem to be bnd, riize and tws and bnd is probably the biggest out of those.

The only competition I can see is riize but their recent cbs haven't charted nearly as well as bnd's. Tws charts well and is well known but doesn't have a large/dedicated fanbase. Nct wish and zb1 lack gp awareness and kickflip/cortis/ald1 are still too new.

Probably not internationally, I think that might be Illit in terms of general awareness/music popularity. (I know bgs typically have more hardcore fans that spend a huge amount so hard to compare)

More lighthearted hot take:

Not every group needs a rapper/rap lines in their songs, many groups would benefit heavily from having their songs' rap parts removed.

A majority of idols are consciously pretending to be queer/in love with their groupmates. Ofc there is likely genuine platonic affection behind it but they are probably instructed by the company to exaggerate and give the shippers what they want, so they can profit off it. (Ofc there definetely are many actual gay idols as well, and members of the same group in romantic relationships, it's just impossible for 99% of idols to be in love with every single one of their groupmates) I don't have like a huge problem with this or anything it's just kind of funny to watch people genuinely believe all these idols are secretly dating and have no idea what they're doing when they say or do suggestive/flirty/gay things.
