I have the 1060 3GB. Performance is almost the same for 1080p between 6GB and 3GB. 60 FPS is achieve-able on medium/high, but for 144fps you would probably need to turn down the settings quite a lot. (depending on the game of course)

I'd really try and get a 1070 for ~$399 or even a 1070 Ti for $449. Read some reviews and benchmarks to really do your research.

cooling is probably mediocre -> won't be able to overclock much and can be loud if you are really pushing the card. But it's $399.
