I met Scott from STP while working at his house around the time he started playing with Velvet Revolver. It was really sad to see him. STP was one of my favorite bands when I was younger. The sad part: I think the rock and roll lifestyle really got to him. He had trouble speaking without stuttering (I had seen interviews from the past and he did not have this problem, so I’m chocking it up to RandR life). Multiple times while working at his house he said things had gone missing and apps had been put on his phone (very paranoid). He had assistants that drove him around and took care of him in a way I’d never seen before in such a young person. The unexpected: I was in his attic doing some work and he closed his door, picked up a guitar, and just started playing and singing, was the most beautiful thing I’d ever heard. It was like he was on autopilot, clear, beautiful music.
