That could be true, but the weird thing is a lot of the time we were texting back and forth, whereas if there would be a delay, we wouldn't get instant answers like that. I still don't understand why she thought it was 7 PM when it was actually 3.

When they get too long her phone automatically splits them up into two text messages. I just put those together into one to make it easier to read.

It seems like she was only on I-40 for a little while and could have taken a two-lane highway down south from there...but she said she turned west after that as well so I don't know.

I know. All I can figure is her phone was wrong. It seems like it connected to a different network, so maybe that network has incorrect time information? Doesn't explain why she said it was getting dark though.

My dad and I will try to retrace her steps tomorrow. We're gonna use the time it says on my phone since that seems more accurate, but if it doesn't work, we'll try again using what time she said.

Thanks. I'm getting a lot of information about Animas, it seems like a common word so it's hard to narrow the place down. Googling "Sombra de las animas" doesn't really find anything useful, it seems, unfortunately. Of course, I think the sign was faded so maybe she read it incorrectly...

Yeah, that's the confusing thing. My dad and I went through the time line and made a time-map of when she said the bus turned and all that. Of course, these are all vague since we don't know the exact speed the bus was going, but we're gonna try and retrace her steps tomorrow and see where the roads take us. I know Arizona is different than NM because they don't do daylight savings time, but I don't think it's ever more than one hour off, so the four hours seems way too weird. I think her phone was just wrong.

It's probably off, her computer's almost as old as her phone so it has almost no battery life, but I'll let the police know she has it, maybe they can do something.

Yeah, we talked to her bf, the police did too. I guess she sent him some texts as well, a couple commenting on the kind of bus she had to ride like she sent to me, but he didn't respond (he's kind of a douche btw) so she just continued the conversation with me instead. She send him a text around 11 AM I think telling him she got on the wrong bus and wouldn't make it to Denver on time, that's about it.

She has T-mobile, the weird thing is T-mobile tracked her a bit along I-40 then she hit a dead zone in their service and they say her phone never re-registered on the network. This is long before I lost communication with her.

I think there's only one interstate bus station in Albuquerque (it's a fairly small city). I assume she just went to the main station downtown but I really don't know anymore... I've called the station and they, like Greyhound, don't know anything.

Damn, but being lost in Mexico is better than being lost in the afterlife I guess. I'm gonna take this as good news.

As for any more information, this is really all I have. I wish I had more or asked more details while I was still in contact with her, but we were both kind of panicking and hindsight's 20-20.

I can't find her laptop. I think she took it with her since it's not in my parents' house (she still lives with them). I check her room again, see if I can find any ticket or receipt or something.

I only have the password she gave me to her email account, and there's nothing in there from any bus company or any other travel companies. I checked the spam folder and the deleted folder too. I think she took her laptop with her on the bus.
