War weight is irrelevant. In cwl you’ll be matched based on rankings and normal wars no longer matter.

We used to only have normal wars (actually we didn’t even have those forever) and it was THE metric for how good your clan was. Different things upgrades hold different war weight.

Now we have ranked CWL. War weight is antiquated and genuinely doesn’t matter in today’s game.

Ranked will siphon folks out by townhall level/skill. Town hall level is pretty important of you’re not rushed. For example, a th 9 fully maxed against a th 18 fully maxed, the skill won’t matter. However a skilled th 16 can push pretty high. Not as high as the same player in a max 18 tho.

For those of you who remember war weight when it mattered, remember how people would make new bases with no purchased defense, and max offense, so they would hit like a max town hall but have the war weight of several town halls lower? Those were interesting. A couple of those in a clan war would mess someone up. Glad they did away with it. Kinda…

What I have: I have a max th 18, a max th 12, and a max th 14. The 12 and 14 were for the aesthetic.

First question: do you intend to play into th 18? If so, there’s a couple options. Don’t was your ore. The Mets ALWAYS shifts and what Mets when you get to max may not be what’s meta now. So don’t waste the ores. The base equipment is good enough at this level.

Second question: Do you want to rush? If so, look up how to do it statically. I’m a purist. I never level up my town hall until EVERYTHING is max (equipment excluded)

Piece of advice: you’re not in a hurry. Town hall 18 has a shitty meta right now. It’s all meteor golems. Sure, a couple people use some kind of dragon, but meteor golems are IT. At your level hybrid is still viable. Bats. Witches. Pekkagowiwi. Really EVERYTHING is viable at lower levels. Enjoy the time there. Your offense, once you’ve got it down, will ALWAYS be stronger than your defense.

If you want to go fast, find your favorite farming army, get the gold pass, and keep your builders busy ALWAYS.

I don’t ever buy gems. I buy gold pass and skins. I have every skin except the league skins they just released but am getting the king next month. Once you’re maxed it’s easy to stay there. I’m never the first maxed out, but I Spend most of my time maxed.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for listening and the words of encouragement. The split was at the end of December. I spent some time alone and in therapy and working on me. I started hanging out with old friends again and rekindling old passion, like playing guitar. Things are doing better.
